David was wiped as he walked through the front door of his home. He dropped his backpack and dove onto the nearest couch. It took him a second to realize that his little sister, Christina, was already watching cartoons on their plasma TV.

She was eleven years old and in sixth grade. Christina had black hair and a skinny body with some meat on her bones.

"What're you doing here?" David asked annoyed with the volume of the TV.

"Don't you remember? I had to get a checkup at the doctor's office," she replied.

"Lucky! You get out of school early, but I don't. Now, turn the TV down before we need to take you back for loss of hearing." He said with his face in a near by pillow.

"I am sorry. What was that? You want me to turn it up?" Christina asked sarcastically. She then began to hit the plus button on the remote to turn up the volume. David responded quickly to this by lifting his head up, wrapping his fingers around the corner of the pillow, and chucking it at her.

The pillow collided into her chest. She then stood up and yelled, "Hey watch it, stupid!" Then, she lunged on top of him and started attacking him. Their mother came rushing in and broke up the conflict.

"What's going on in here?" she asked.

"He threw a pillow at me!" Christina complained.

"She had the TV volume too loud," David countered.

"Look, Christina, turn down the TV because it is loud," she explained motherly. "And David Manning, you know not to throw pillows in the house." David and Christina apologized to each other.

Even though they enjoy to pick on each other, David and Christina loved each other. They use to play together a lot when they were younger. Now that they are too old for that, they pick on one another.

"So, David, how was your first day of high school?" Mrs. Manning asked her son. "Got any homework yet?"

"It was good and YES I have homework. I would have expected at least one day with out homework, but noooo," he answered.

"Well, go get started then," she commanded.

"Yes, Ma'am," he said. He summoned the strength to pull himself off the couch, to grab his bag, and to hike up the stairs. He reached the house's office and pulled binders out of his bag.

His first day went pretty good. He actually got three classes with Sara and two with Jack. At least David got classes with his friends.

The bad things that happened on his first day was that he found out he had two classes with Daniel and David did not like the looks that he and his goons sent at him. Every time they looked at David, he could see the hatred grow in their eyes. Daniel had obviously told them what happened in the bus from earlier.

Calling Daniel a douchebag gives him a reason to beat you up even though he too knows that it is true. He will find a reason to unleash his fury on you. If he can't find a reason, he will punch you anyways.

David was strong and could probably take Daniel, but if he brought back up, David was sure to get his ass kicked.

After a couple of hours of casually working, solving, and writing, he was finally done and had some free time to himself. When he walked downstairs, he noticed that no one was home.

"Hello?" David asked as he glanced around the living room. It was empty, but he also noticed that the TV was open so he dove towards the remote. He pressed the power button that brought the TV to life. He tuned the TV to Comedy Central and found a funny comedian on.
