Across the world, by bedsides, and in the warm ambiance of the hearth do they tell this tale.

Sung far and wide down the winter path.

This tale as old as time, well worn and deeply cherished.

That when the Christmas snow falls, as it did in stunning Manhattan that evening, and voices fill the midnight weary...

An old miser with heart so cold, bereft and bereaved so bitterly stalks. Sneering and nose turned up at collection tins and orphan children on their last legs.

A blight of joy and magnifique till that spirited Christmas night.

Unless,

Old songs are made new, the fine silks and linen turned to period pieces, and a warm hearth turns to the malcontented glare of theater spotlight.

Our miserly Scrooge-- why!-- no miser at all.

Young and hearty, aglow with the arrogant splendor of none other but an agent of bliss and dream. This actor, this unknowing star of a Christmas production.

This well spun Christmas Carol, may yet have surprises for us all.
