The incessant noise of a beeping machine, bright fluorescent lights making me cringe.. I was in a hospital. To prove my theory, a shreking Alex was hovering above me.

"You're awake! You've been sleeping for 3 days! I've missed you! Move over, this chair is seriously uncomfortable," they bubbled, scrambling themselves into my injured sensitive body. Causing me to wince, trying to recall why everything hurt.

"Why.. What?" This was all my croaky voice was able to utter.

Alex being Alex, started rambling about everything that I've missed, completely skipping over us being in a hospital. Luckily, even with all my exhaustion I was able to keep my ADHD best-friend back on topic, they explained everything that happened.

Their words didn't make sense. I was sure, they must be blaming innocent people. Only when a police officer entered my room to explain everything to me, as well as get information, did I believe it.

My own mother, Francie Marshall was behind the whole kidnapping.
