"Dangg, that was hilarious!!" Georgie states.

"Why'd they even make that bet, it makes me feel odd..."

"Huh?"

"It's dehumanising."

"Oh? I ain't realise you'd feel thah way. If people wah fightin' ova me, I'd be happy," he states.

"That's you, Georgie. Nobody has gone out with me for something that wasn't a joke or bet."

"Dang, really?" He asks.

"Well, yeah."

"Dang, people are stupid."

"What do you mean?"

"C'mon you- well," he clears his throat, "Uhm, I- never mind."

"Alright..."

Just then a siren begins to go off. We stop in the hallway.

"What does that one mean?" Georgie asks.

Almost as if answering his question, a speaker starts to sound:
Tornado warning. Please head to the shelter.
This repeats constantly before stopping on its 10th go.

It takes me a moment to register what's going on.

"Holy shit..." I mumble.

I grab Georgie's hand and drag him into a classroom, we sit under the teacher's desk together.

"Holy shit..." I mumble.

I grab Georgie's hand and drag him into a classroom, we sit under the teacher's desk together.

"You sure this is the safest place?" Georgie asks.

"The desk is wood, not really."

"Oh gah, we're gonna die here..."

"No, no, no one will be dying! The uhm, uh, the structure of this building is great!"

"Really?" he asks, "I thought it was pretty much collapsing."

"Wait! Do you think Sheldon will be okay?"

"Shut up, we're going to die..."

"Could be a drill..."

"They stopped doing 'em - thah's why we don't know whata do!"

"Yeah, I've never had one... okay, well, the building is shut down. Wait, aren't we meant to go to a shelter!"

"Ain't no way you're thinking about animal shelters!"

"No! There's a tornado shelter! But, now, I feel bad for animals at animal shelters..."

"Yea, they mentioned it on the announcement-... we're stupid."

"Holy fuck!"

I grab his hand and we stand up.

"Y/n, if we don't make it..."

"Shut up!" I say, tightening my grip.

"No, but I mean it if we-"

I stop and grab his shoulders, "Nothing is gonna happen, okay?"

"Right.., okay."

"Breathe in and out..."

"I don't want to breathe," he smirks and inches his face closer to mine.

In the middle of school, during a tornado, in the dark.

He places his hand on my cheek and inches closer. He cups my face with both hands and pulls me into a kiss. I shove him off of me and start dragging him down the hall.
