Instantly, Annie was segregated to a separate shed.
Richard followed her.
"You said he would keep me! I have a baby on the way!! What do I do?!" Annie demanded.
Richard began to cry. "I have to come with you. Scott is retiring in a few months, and I will be Taliban leader. I will go to Russia to make the transaction. You, for the goats. Except, we will stay there. I will give up my position. We will steal the goats and find a nice country side house to live in."
Annie was scared, but she didn't want to go to Russia alone. It was a long voyage, and she wouldn't mind his company. No one, besides Richard and William, had known of the pregnancy. Maybe it was better this way.
"I have pack. The horse will take us tomorrow." Richard kissed Annie's forehead and left.
