Rule No.2: A man is in control, he follows his wants and his wants only

Growing up, Aonung only did what he wanted.

Okay, not really since he had to listen to his parents, but let's ignore that because why would he try to disrespect Ronal and Tonowari? He liked to be alive. Other than that, never did he bend to someone's will. Why would he lose his time doing things he didn't want to? He wasn't a people pleaser.

So why the hell was he struggling for his life in the middle of a forest looking like an ostrich while, right next to him, Neteyam shifted lithely through the vegetation?

Well, it's all because of the Omatikaya.

So, Aonung kind of lied earlier. He wasn't totally in control. There was actually one person to which he couldn't say no. No matter what they asked, he would always comply. It was Tsireya. And it made sense because how could he say no to his younger sister? However, it looked like he had to add a new name to his list.

After the night Neteyam had nearly drowned, Aonung and Neteyam slowly became closer and closer. To the point, it wasn't surprising to see them together anymore. People even said that when you saw the water Na'vi, it meant the earth Na'vi wasn't so far, and vice-versa. Their hanging out was made of two main activities. Talking about life or practicing with their Ilu. About the last one, they would spend hours in the water laughing and swimming. So it's only normal that, eventually, Neteyam mastered his Ilu and could dive better than some Metkayina his age. So naturally, being himself, he wanted to take a step further.

A Tsurak.

Aonung being 19 years old, had already passed his coming-of-age ceremony. Meaning he knew how to control a Tsurak.

Wasn't it convenient?

So soon, practicing with a Tsurak unconsciously became their new excuse to hang out together. Thus, exactly what happened the day before their forest excursion. After a long afternoon in the water, they had laid on the sand to dry off. When Neteyam touched his braids after a while, he complained that the seawater had made them loose. It was as if all the stars had perfectly aligned for Aonung to flex his braiding abilities. Indeed, with years of knotting nets, he became so good at braiding that he even helped Tsireya to refresh her braids from time to time. So who was he to confront the universe? Needless to say, he did what has to be done and proposed to fix Neteyam hair. He also regretted it instantly when Neteyam's first reaction was surprise. But when the Omatikaya nodded right after with a soft smile on his lips he couldn't help but be happy he had opened his mouth.

Aonung sat on a rock and parted his leg so Neteyam could sit on the sand between them with his back facing the taller. The earth Na'vi adjusted his position to be comfortable and Aonung started rebraiding his hair. It didn't take too much time because, after an hour or so, they were done. Neteyam walked toward to sea to see his reflection in the clear blue water before hopping back to his friend with a huge smile on his lips.

"They look so good! ''

Aonung let a smile proud smile appear on his lips before nearly choking at what he heard next.

''I wonder what else your fingers could be so good at ?" the Omatikaya wondered out loud before sitting back between Aonung's legs, this time facing the taller.

As Neteyam laid his head on the Metkayina's tight in deep thought, the latter had to use enormous self-control to not focus on how the words sounded both innocent and dirty. Fortunately, he didn't have to think about it much longer because Neteyam gained his attention back by tapping on his tight. The earth Na'vi had raised his head to look directly into the water Na'vi's eyes and was smiling teasingly, which announced no good.
