Jesse scrunched her face. She peeled her eyes open to the sight of a bright white room. She looked all around at her surroundings, to come to the realization that she was in some kind of medical room. She didn't know the fortress had this. Although, it's not like she actually went through every single room. A slight sting arose on her hip, where she recalled her wound was, however not nearly as painful as it felt before... before she passed out? She didn't really remember what happened since the minute she's been awake. She pulled off the covers of the bed she was in, revealing the white bandage securely taped around her waist. There was also a small bandage on her left arm, which connected to a bag of some liquid. She tore it off with one swift yank and threw her legs around to the side of the bed.

Hesitantly, she planted her bare feet on the cool, shiny floor. She took a few short steps, still getting used to the feeling of walking. A mirror in the corner of the room caught her eye. She hobbled over and stood before it. Her eyes widened upon seeing the reflection. Her hair was a knotted mess. If she had tried to run a brush through it, surely she would pull out a chunk of it. She was dressed in a tight light brown top and matching bottoms. They were very plain, to say the least. The heaping amount of bandaging stuck out of her skin, feeling almost like a weight on her hip. She left her spot in front of the mirror and walked to the door. She turned the doorknob and stepped into the hallway.

She looked right, then left, and clicked her tongue. With no sense of direction or idea of where she was, she started walking toward her left. She had never been to this side of the fortress. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to leave the room she was in. What if someone went to visit only to find her gone? She hoped that wouldn't be the case. She kept walking, praying that she would come across anything familiar. For someone who just passed out, she seemed to be doing pretty well.

"Jesse?"

She stopped in her tracks. She spun around, to lock eyes with a certain blonde a few feet away from her. He practically ran over and took her deep into his arms.

She yelped at the sudden contact with her wound. It may not hurt as bad, but the pain didn't vanish. He backed up suddenly.

"Sorry, sorry. I forgot. Sorry." he apologized nervously.

Jesse couldn't help but laugh at his awkwardness, though it pained her to do so.

His eyes lit up. "God- I just can't believe you're alive. You don't know how worried I've been."

"Come on, I've survived worse. You really have no faith in me, huh?" she grinned.

He smiled sheepishly and scratched his neck. "Of course, I do, Jesse. I know you can handle anything. But that doesn't stop me from worrying about you."

Jesse's smile softened as the words left his mouth. Gosh, he was so sweet.

"Didn't know living one day without me had such an effect on you." she crossed her arms.

Lukas' facial expression shifted to a sterner one. Kind of like the one you'd get after just seeing a ghost.

Jesse's smile faded when he stayed silent. "Did I say something wrong?"

His gaze diverted to all around him as if he was trying to find an answer. "You think it's been one day since you went into a coma?"

A coma? Jesse's jaw fell slightly out of shock.
