"A world at war
Two rivals for the throne
If chosen by six magets,
One will have the throne for their own
One Mermaid, one Phoenix, one Unicorn,
One Fairy, one Griffin, one Dragon,
Bound by the fate of the Stars of Magic on the starblast night,
They are born to end the fight
So when the war has lasted 10 years,
The magets will save the day
When friends are lost and some do not want to choose sides,
The magets will save the day"
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, Luna thought. "When the war has lasted 10 years"?! That's in four weeks and five days! And my birthday is in four weeks and five days! I'm going to save the world on my birthday! This is literally my life-long dream coming true!
Luna had pictured this moment ever since the war had started. There would be a raging battle to have the Palace of Magic for Animus's or Meriam's home base. Luna would be soaring through the clouds towards the battle below. Luna would strike a spear through Meriam's heart, and declaire Animus, or maybe someone else, as the ruler of Magic, then everyone would be at permanent peace.
But this wasn't exactly what Luna had pictured. It wasn't even the day of stopping the war. Luna was cool with it though.
I still need to learn to cooperate with the other magets, but it won't be long now.
"Will the Magets of Magic please come to the stage?" Fortune announced. "We will take them to train in the Night Bringer Territory."
Luna grinned happily. What could possibly go wrong now?
"AAAAAAAH!" someone screamed. "Edward is gone!"
"He's not on the stage!" Fortune said.
"AAAAAAAAH!" someone else screamed. "Has anyone seen Foul?!"
What the heck?! The other magets are going missing?
"SPRITE!" a fairy yelled. "SPRITE, WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!"
The fairy took to the sky and searched the crowd anxiously. This was bad. This was really bad. How was the world supposed to be saved if the magets that were going to save them were missing?!?!
Luna heard a chuckle, then a thump. A Unicorn whinied and stamped through the crowd. There, running at Luna, was the same goblin maget in Luna's visions.
Oh, no. should I run? Fight? I have to fight.
Luna stretched her wings and roared. If she had to save the other magets herself, that was what she was going to do. Luna leaped at the goblin child and they rolled and kicked. Luna finally got the upper hand and pinned the goblin maget to the ground.
"Where are the other Magets of Magic?!" Luna shouted at the goblin. "Let them go, NOW!"
"I . . . I . . . I . . . I," said the goblin maget. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't try to talk your way out of this," Luna yelled. "Where are the other magets?!?!"
"Let me go, and I'll show you."
"This better not be a trick, or I'll bite your head off."
The goblin squeaked and nodded. Luna got off the goblin maget. The goblin reached inside her sack and pulled out a club.
Of course, this is what happened to the other magets.
"Luna!" Thundercloud and Seashell shouted.
The dragons tried to pull Luna out of the way in time, and the Night Bringer tried to claw the goblin, but it was too late. The goblin raised the club over her head and hit Luna with it. Then everything went black.
The darkness didn't last long. Things were hazy after that blow. Luna could vaguely remember what happened afterwards. The goblin smiled in triumph. Thundercloud lunged for the goblin. Seashell tried to pull Luna away and back home. The goblin child kicked Thundercloud away and hit Seashell on the head. The goblin sacked Luna and ran away quickly. When Luna woke up for real, she could feel the sloping of the grass underneath her. This land didn't feel familiar.
Then, with a sudden jerk, the sack Luna was in was sailing through the air. Then, a big hand caught the sack. A goblin hand. Luna could feel him eying the bag. Then voices started speaking.
"This is the one you missed?" asked the goblin holding the sack. His voice was bolder than Luna could have expected.
"She tried to put up a fight," said what Luna guessed was the goblin child. Her voice was a bit raspy. "I could have been killed by this one if you hadn't given me that cub. This job better be worth it."
"Do not worry," said the goblin with the sack. "Being the 'Maget of Magic' in charge will always be worth it."
"But isn't allying with you a one way ticket to treason?" asked the goblin child.
"We'll give you what you want, we'll poison the queen for you," said the goblin with the sack. "You'll get to be queen. And once Meriam pays us for our work with the magets, you'll get a third of the profit."
"Alright, I still agree to the deal."
Wait, what? They're going to sell us? But why? Where are we?
Luna concentrated hard, trying to pick up any voices she can to make sense of the land. They were at the entrance of a tall mountain, and about an hour's walk away was-Oh, no. Queen Heist's Palace! We're on the border of Goblin Territory.
Luna needed to act fast. She had to get out of that bag, rescue the other magets, find her parents, and hide out in Dragon Mountain for a few days, where they could make a plan to stop the war. First step, get out of the bag. Luna figured that she could tail blast herself out, except-Aw, man. I can't feel the tip of my tail. That goblin maget must have found a way to cut off the circulation. But she did have another option. I can punch some holes in the bag until they drop me, then I can rip my way out, fight these guys, rescue the other magets, get back to Dragon Mountain, and stop the war.
Luna aimed the longest point of her tail at the top of the bag and thrust it. A hole was left in its place. Luna kept punching holes in the bag. It started shaking.
"Woah, woah, WOAH!!!" said the goblin with the sack. "Little help here?!"
"I need my cub back," said the goblin maget.
"I have it," said the goblin holding the sack. "I can put her down and knock her out."
"NO!" shouted the goblin maget. "That's what she wants you to do. As soon as you put her down, she'll rip herself free and kill us! Just give me the cub!"
Okay, she has a gift of suspicion. But I can just make a hole big enough to poke my head through. Then, I'll burn their faces off and rescue the others.
Luna pushed her claws down on the bottom of the sack and pushed her head up against the fabric. Surprisingly, Luna's head popped right out. The goblin holding the sack screamed and threw the sack into the air. Luna's wings were still stuck in the sack, so she couldn't fly away.
"Get back here, you fool!" shouted the goblin child as the older goblin ran.
Luna flew down to the ground right in front of the goblin maget. She picked up the cub on the ground that the goblin with the sack had dropped and swung it at Luna. Then, POW! Darkness once again.
Thanks for reading guys! Hope you enjoyed! Have a great day/night!
