New Years Chapter(late)

You and Klara were hanging in the common area of the VP. It was like the Christmas party except everyone was with the preferred person they would want to kiss when the ball dropped. You didn't mind it at all though, you just wanted to clear out before everyone was too intoxicated. Most of them literally just hit the legal drinking age, why- "Y/n, are you okay, Liebe?" Klara asked you, rubbing her hand against your back, causing you to lean back and sigh. And arm wrapped around your waist, feeling the girl sway you around a bit to help cheer you up, and you couldn't help but give in, placing arm around her shoulders as the other held your drink. You turned and smiled at her, see the girl give you wink back in response before hearing the music being turned down.

"ONE MINUTE TIL THE BALL DROPS!"

You heard from the TV and looked at Klara. You set down your drink on the nearest ledge you could find as she placed her in next to yours. Both of her arms went around your waist as you slung an arm around her neck, using the other to place your hand against her cheek. Her face was closer to yours, feeling her breath slightly hit your lips as the two of you waited for the ball to drop. "You look beautiful, mein Schatz" She whispered to you and only you, not caring if everyone was looking at the two of you. But you? You didn't care either, just being next to her gave you that confidence boost. "Really? Ich finde, du siehst perfekt aus" You replied,, causing a blush to appear on the girls face which made you laugh.

The two of you listened to the others begin to count down from 5. It felt like forever until you heard 1. With that, you brought her face closer to yours and put your lips together, relaxing into the kiss as you played with her hair. After a moment, you decided to pull away first and place a soft peck to her forehead, being only a few centimeters taller than her anyways. "I love you Klara, happy new years" you said, feeling her place a peck to your cheek before replying to you. "I love you too, can't wait for whatevers gonna happen this year" You both laughed at her response before feeling everyone stare at you two, which made you realize that people are still finding out about the two of you. "This is awkward-" you said and let out a small laugh while pulling away from the girl in front you, looking at the audience you have.

"Happy New Years?" You questioned, giving a shrug. It was a few moments before the people that didn't know congratulate you as the others just went back to their conversations. It wasn't the first time you two kissed in front of them, so why was everyone still shocked? You let out a small sigh before picking up your drink, shortly feeling your phone buzz and felt a bit confused. The only people to actually message you was Sage, Brim, Fade, Klara, and Jett. But they all were here so why would they even care to message you now? "Excuse me for a moment-" you set down your drink and walked away from everyone, heading into the corner of a hallway before seeing that a random number messaged you.

Y/n, right? It's yourself from the Omega world. I know we have out differences but hear me out. Call me at 2am with no one around to hear our conversation, you have to understand that this will benefit both of us.

You:
Okay? And what this doesn't turn out in the way you hope for? There's always the possibility of you turning your back on me as well. Furthermore, how are you able to contact me?

You let out a defeated sigh before turning off your phone and went back to the party, pretending that you weren't distressed or scared. You kept a facade the entire night while talking with everyone. Drinks were almost out, chefs were sick of the night and called it, Brim and Sage went off to bed meaning that no one was their to watch a bunch of children. And Klara called it a night and told you to make sure to sleep soon after her. Which you eventually did once it was around 1:40am, which reminded you of the call you had to make to your Omega self. What were they even trying to do?

[ Omega Y/n POV ]

This is dumb. I know they won't listen to me after what happened. It was a spur of the moment to swap our phones before pretending to be her while in her world. It worked for a bit, only until she was found and then they had no use for me. I've found my way back to my world, but Klara hasn't been able to open the teleporter. Which is what gave me the idea to message the other me in the first place. It doesn't feel right to steal steal radianite. Not at all. So what better way than to convince my Alpha self to go undercover in my world than to just message them.

It finally hit 2am and I heard my phone ring. I quickly grabbed it and accepted the call, smiling as I heard my voice on the other end. There was only a few differences that could give me and my Alpha double away. Our voice, memory, and of course, how we work.

"Glad you finally called, I was getting worried."

"Just spit it out. What do you want?"

"I want to switch. You go undercover in my world as I hide in yours until you have what you need. Then I'll show up in your protocol, get on the battle ship, and we switch before our teammates can notice"

"Why are you suddenly deciding to help? Were you trying to kill me a month ago? What's with the sudden change."

"I know that my world is in trouble but- stealing radianite from you guys just feels wrong. I want you to be able to help your world while being undercover. That way, maybe you could find a way to convince our worlds to be at peace for a bit. Just so we can help each other out and stabilize our worlds."

"You're crazy....but if you're being truthful...then- when do I leave? I also need to know everything about and how you act around everyone. This needs to be perfect or we'll both be dead to each others worlds."

"Of course. Met me at Ascent, site A. Not that far from your HQ so- it should be fine. Try to meet here by 10am, not later or else my Klara will open the TP"
