Chapter 42

Imani POV

After, we finished eating and talking in the park, we all decided to go bowling. "Mommy?" Ari called, I turned my head and raised a brow at her. "Guess what." She said smiling.

"What?" I smiled back at her. "Chicken butt!" She said then started to laugh very loudly. I playfully rolled my eyes.

Trey.

"Like it? Like the joke? Uncle Trey said it to me." She said excitedly. "Yes, very, very funny." I said. We pulled up to the place and parked. We got out the car and once I spotted Trey I marched up to him, glaring.

"Whatcu want now girl?" He asked with his sassy ass. "Why you teach my child that annoying ass joke?" I pointed all up in his face. "Uh first of all get this doo doo finger out my face and two, cause it's a funny joke." He smiled at me.

I rolled my eyes, "boy let's go." We all start to walk inside we the building. We exchanged one shoe for a pair of bowling shoes and then we make it to our lane.

As I'm putting everyone names in, I look to my left and see Arianna and gio checking out different weights and sizes of the bowling ball so that there is one she can use. Gio picks one up and lifts it up and down— probably testing the weight— then he gives it to ari. She smiles brightly and starting jumping up and down. I could hear her excited yays from here.

Which brought a small smile on my face seeing them interact. "Yea... this definitely gon last." I hear someone say. I look at attona and angelina staring attentively at me. "Mhm look at that little smile." I scrunch my face up at them and stick my tongue out. "Shut up." I say, we all start laughing.

"Mommy! We finally found one!" She gives the ball to gio then hurries her way to me. I pick her up then shower her in kisses. She giggles, "ok ari your first." Gio tells her.

She looks up and gio and pouts, his eyes soften. "Can you help me?" She asks, pointing to the lane. He looks at me and I smile, he rolls his eyes. "Mhm sure." The go over to the lane and he got the block that they use for kids. They set it to where it is pointing at the middle pin then place the ball at the top. They push it off watching it roll down and knocking almost all the pins but 3.

She starts laughing and clapping running towards. "I know you seen that." She says, I laugh. "I did.. good job baby." She mutters a thank you before gio calls her back.

They do it again and knock 2 of out the 3 pins down. "Ok y'all done my turn." Trey says loudly. He gets his bowling ball and pushing arianna's block to the side with one hand. "Watch this." He points at us.

"Boy if you don't just go-" angel says. He takes a step back then rolls the ball and misses all the pins. He stands there frozen in his spot, and we all start laughing at him. "Hold on, hol' on... a negro just getting started." He says then goes again, knocking most of the pins down.

"Mommy?" Arianna taps me. I look down at her, "yeah?" She looks very confused. "What's a negro?" She asks me furrowing her eyebrows. "You." Trey says out of nowhere while plopping on the couch, then shortly getting up and going to the bar.

I gasp, "boy." I smack his arm. "I am?" She ask. "Yes baby..." I look at gio and he is staring at us bewildered. "What about daddy?" She points, "no no no he's not—"

"But—"

"Hey! I'm back." Trey says, holding 3 different trays. Then placing them on the table.

Get it? Trey is hold trays... no? Ok

I give out some sanitizer on her hand then let her go. Arianna smiles then goes to the one of the trays that look like it has bbq wings on it. She goes to put her hand on one but Trey smacks her hand away making Ari glare at him. "And what about it?" He says, then goes to get one then ari snatches it from him taking a bite.

"Mhm.. and what about it?" Ari says then away. Trey gasps, dramatically putting a hand over his chest."Period!" Attona cheers.

We go back to playing and it's Ari turn. Gio goes to get the block, "wait- no! I can do it without that." Arianna says nodding her tiny head. She puts the ball on the floor then lightly pushes it. It moves a little far from her stopping.

She starts to run onto the lane, "arianna!" I say getting up and walking fastly to her. She pushes the ball harder this time knocking down most pins. She laughs then starts to run to me. I grab her before she falls, "don't do that again." I laugh at her but I'm serious.

"Ok mommy, sorry." She says then kisses my cheek.

We finished bowling and long story short, Trey won the first round and Gio cheated the second. We are now in the arguing about it. "You literally cheated gio... end of discussion." I said lowly, rolling my eyes.

"Ti arrabbia con me perché sei un culo." I hear him mutter. I whip my head to face him, "huh?"

"Nothing." He said, sighing. "Exactly what I thought." I says, leaning back in my chair. "I SAID don't get mad at me because you're ass... just admit you can't play." he says then shrugs.

I look at him and we make eyes contact for a moment then I didn't reply.

Yes, I am a sore loser.
