You're at the station, waiting for the coffee to be ready. Then Beau comes in, with vest on.
"We've got a job, go put on your vest"
You nod, doing as he says no questions asked. Soon you're at the small off the road house.
"You go in through the back, I'll take the front" Beau orders. You nod and go. You sneak in, shutting the door as quietly as you possibly can. Then you turn around, receiving a fist to the face. You shake the dizziness off, the male who is way bigger than you, wrestles you to the floor. You try to grab your gun, the guy notices this and grabs your arm, twisting it behind your back. He then grabs the gun off the floor, aiming it at you. You raise your hands, trying to get more time to figure out a plan. Then someone fires a gun. You feel the bullet go through your leg. You hiss in pain, then there's another gunshot echoing in the small room. The man thuds down next to you, dropping the gun down as he goes. Beau rushes to you, lifting you up so that you're in sitting position. He grabs shoulders, checking you, then his pretty green eyes fixate on your bleeding leg. Later on, you're limping out of the hospital, Beau walking next to you.
"Alright, spit it out, you're pissed at me"
"Damn right I am, you could've gotten yourself killed"
"Well, I didn't and besides I can handle myself"
"I know you can, but you're my employee and I'm not letting anything happen to you or any other of my employees"
You open the car door, getting out. Beau sighs and leaves the car as well.
"Look, darlin', it's my job to look after you"
"I'm a grown ass woman, I don't need a babysitter"
"Stop, Y/N, just stop"
You huff and stop walking.
"Look I know that you want to escape your past, but this is not the way"
"You know nothing about my past" You say through gritted teeth.
"I've heard you scream in your sleep, Y/N, so don't give me that bullshit"
You jab your finger onto his chest, saying:
"You stay out of my business, Arlen"
You then turn around and limp off.
"Y/N, just listen, I know that you don't want to speak about your past, but we.. we have arrested your brother"
You stop and turn around, looking at Beau.
"What did he do now?"
"He was smuggling drugs, trying to get them over the border"
"Alright, where's he?"
"At the hospital, he had to be roughed up a little bit"
You sigh.
"Alright, let's go see him"
At the hospital, you are standing inside your brothers room.
"You realize you are getting one hell of an beating once mother and father find out?
"Yeah, well they don't need to find out"
"I'm afraid the hospital already called them to come here"
"Shit, can't you keep them out of here?"
"I could, but I won't, this is your mess, you clean it up"
Then Beau peeks in, you nod at him to get inside.
"So, I just heard some ruckus outside and believe it was your folks"
"Great, they're gonna skin me alive, aren't they?" Your brother asks.
"Afraid so"
Then your parents barge in, almost knocking you down. Beau catches you before you fall.
Your mother is already fussing over Tommy.
"So, Y/N, what's going on?"
You lean against the door frame.
"Tommy here was caught smuggling drugs over the border"
"And you didn't stop him from getting into this business?"
"I haven't seen him in over a year"
"Besides I'm not his babysitter"
Your father strides to you, grabbing your arm, squeezing it.
"How dare you speak to me that way!?"
Beau steps in.
"I suggest you let go of her"
"I'm her father and I do as I please"
"Being her father doesn't give you the right to do as you please"
Your father lets go of you, his eyes are blazing with fury.
"I think we're done here" You say.
"Don't you dare to walk away!"
"I already did" You say over your shoulder to your father.
He yells after you, you ignore him.
"Well, that went really well"
"Could have gone better" You say.
You open Beau's cars door, getting in.
Beau gets in as well, starting the car.
Then he drives out of the hospital parking lot, camera follows the car go, until it disappears from sight.
