HC21 - If Belos hurts you

Dude so apparently I wrote the last chapter completely under anesthesia cause I have no recollection of posting that after my surgery- but I'm lowkey impressed that I did that with almost no typos. Also I'm doing really well, recovery is going smooth. Now, onto the hc's!

(This is gonna take place in the boiling isles and Hunter still works for Belos -_- sorry, didn't know how else to do it. Also this is before events in hollow mind obviously)

(Gonna be a lil angsty folks)

- Hunter first found out when he heard your scream from down the hall

- He was expecting your visit and since it was your first time in the castle he figured you'd get easily startled by the weapons or high security so he didn't think much of the scream.

-He finally heard a knock at his door

- Getting out of his bed he walked over to the door opening it to meet your teary eyes

- His heart dropped as soon as he saw you, pulling you into his room as quick as possible he sat you down on his bed and cradled you

- He didn't know exactly what happened but his first instinct was to just hug you in which you quickly accepted his offer

- After pulling apart he finally gained the courage to speak.

-"y/n? Aaare you ok? What happened?"

- Looking to him and down at your hands you rolled up your sleeve revealing a big bruise across your wrist. Seeing this made Hunter's eyes go wide

- His tone then darkened as his eyes narrowed to yours "y/n....who did that to you."

-*cue serious protective Hunter*

- When you told him it was Belos only made his inner anger grow

- He had his doubts about Belos being a nice person but he usually just pushed them away, wanting to stay loyal to his bloodline.

(*Flashbacks to hollow mind*)

- But this??!? This just set things in stone, no one messes with his partner, ever

-Especially Belos. He's taken way too many things away from him he didn't wanna lose you too

- In turn he was absolutely outraged. He wanted to go up to Belos and show him not to mess with you ever again. But he knew inside, you were the one that needed the most attention right now

- He pushed his anger down taking a breath and soon returning to his soft tone with you. He helped you get the bruise iced and gave you snuggles galore

- Bringing you in closer, you snuggled into his arms on his bed. He carefully traced shapes onto your back with his finger and it slowly lulled you to sleep

(A/N: it gets a lil angsty again here so if you'd like to stay with fluff, I'd advise you not to proceed)

- Once asleep he carefully took the ice off your arm so it wouldn't burn your skin

- As he looked at your arm examining the bruise, finger prints soon became visible through the redness of your skin from the ice

- The fire in his eyes sparked again thinking he should go talk with Belos about this "incident"

- Hunter slowly got out of bed being careful not to wake you up. You were the most precious thing in the world to him, and he would do anything in his power to make sure you are safe

- That night, he brought forth his disagreements to Belos. Not caring what he did to him in return which was surprisingly nothing

- Belos looked down onto Hunter who was bowing his head almost preparing for a strike across him

- "I'm impressed, Hunter."

- what

- Hunter looked up, making quick eye contact with Belos

-"The being got on my nerves, I just mistook them as a little intruder, but I'm impressed you have the courage to bring such a matter to me. As long as it doesn't get out of hand"

- Belos mumbled the last part so Hunter couldn't quite hear. But him pushing it off as an "accident" didn't sit right with Hunter especially since Belos knew you were going over that day

- Opting for the safest bet. Hunter just accepted his explanation. Bowing once more before leaving to his room again

- He never knew what was up with Belos but he had no room to question. Belos gave him a life to live so in return he thought of himself  indebted to him

- As Hunter entered his room, he saw you still peacefully sleeping curled up with Flapjack on the end of his bed. His smile grew so wide

- He really didn't know what he'd do without you
