I plopped back down on the couch with Ariana on my lap and breathed deeply. Ariana made me carry her all around the house all day telling me that she's sore and can't walk, and that it's my fault. Of course, I'd love to carry her, I'd do anything for her, but I think I'm at my limit now.

I'm now exhausted as fuck.

We just got down from her room to get her phone. I told her that I could go get it for her, but she doesn't want us to part in any way. The only time we separated was when she needed to use the bathroom, but even then, I had to wait for her by the door.

Right now, Ariana is leaning her back on me with her head on my shoulder while using her phone. I have my arms wrapped around her waist, waiting for my queen's next orders... which I hope is not any time soon. Because her orders can get a bit extreme. She made me run in her yard earlier while carrying her because she said she needs fresh air.

"Baby, my dad will be here in a few. Are you ready to meet him?" She asked, then quickly kissed my jaw.

I was supposed to meet her father way before, but her father got busy. I gave her a smile and I nodded my head. "Yes, love."

Ariana told me that her father already knew about us. She told him when they saw each other last time. However, I'm still hella nervous even if she assured me that our relationship was fine with her father.

The next thing I knew, the doorbell already rang. I braced myself to stand up, but Ariana squealed and ran to the door herself.

Wait... I thought she couldn't walk?

I walked towards the door as well and stood behind Ariana as she opened the door. Her dad stood there wearing a white polo shirt and jeans. He had a single stem rose in his hand which he handed immediately to his daughter.

"Dad! You didn't have to but thank you! It's beautiful!" Ariana smiled widely and ushered her dad to come in.

"Ari, if I want to give my daughter flowers, I will give her flowers. I even chose that instead of a bouquet because for some reason, you don't want spending money on trivial things anymore." Her dad responded as he stepped inside.

"Well, I realized that we shouldn't waste money and just spend them on things we really need." Ariana answered and then she smiled at me. "Dad, I'd like to introduce you to my boyfriend. His name is Elijah. Say hi to my dad, baby." She said, grabbing my arms and wrapping it around her.

I kissed the top of her head and laid my hand out to her father. "Hello, sir. I am Elijah Granger. I'm glad to finally meet you."

Her father shook my hand. "Edward Butera. Same here, kid." He said and then he faced Ariana. "I'm starving. Did you guys prepare food? Or should we order?"

"No need, daddy. My baby cooked for us. The foods are already served on the dining table." Ariana answered, smiling at me. Her father nodded and walked to the dining area.

Ariana pulled me to walk with her while still staying inside my arms. I leaned down to her ear. "Hmm... Seems like your legs are working just fine."

Ariana giggled. "I took pain killers while you were sleeping last night, so I'm not that sore anymore. I just didn't want you to leave me, baby."

I shook my head while stifling a smile.

The dinner with Ariana's father went well. He asked a lot about my life, and it didn't seem like he looked down on me or something. He even commended me for working while studying. The atmosphere wasn't even heavy or too serious. Ariana's father may seem intimidating, but he cracks jokes and even laughs with us.
