Personality: 

Reiji was more livier when he was younger, the annoying kind of lively you'd see in children but that has changed quite a lot.
He's quiet most of the time, keeping his thoughts to himself since he doesn't want to risk the chance of it harming someone. He's careful but not cautious, not expecting danger at random times considering that he gets best up a few times by his rich neighbors. Usually he's getting beat up because he tells the bully to hurry it up so he could go on with his day. But not in an obnoxious way, the kind where he's experienced it many times and wants it to be done more quickly.
With his quiet demeanor comes his sensitive side which a few catch on easily, he takes other's words seriously despite it not showing on his face. And something else other's don't catch onto is that he is considerate most of the time, he observing others and thinking of the bigger picture to make sure nothing inconvenient would happen.

Occupation: part time school since he barely tries to attend classes, if not then he's working at a thrift shop since no one in his classy neighborhood goes there and he mostly spends money buying food since it feels odd to eat at home.

Back story: 

Reiji's upbringing wasn't always on the downside. He had an older brother named Ren, the golden child his parents adored and back then they didn't compare the two. Reiji's brother would always come to his defense in his times of trouble and struggles, especially since Reiji got picked on at school majority of the time. And their parents had set their family goals on the older sibling which Ren didn't mind, he enjoyed making his parents proud and taking off the pressure from Reiji. Their family was wealthy and had big goals to keep them that way.
Though that happiness didn't last long when Reiji turned thirteen, deciding that he was old enough to hang about on his own which wasn't far from home but it was late which was dangerous in itself.
Ren was the one to go find his little brother, hanging at the park with a bunch of other kids.
That confrontation led to them arguing on the walk home, more like Ten was dragging Reiji home but they didn't make it far until Reiji was pushing his brother hard enough to fall into the street.

After Ren's death, Reiji's parents never looked at their only son the same way. All they saw was a reminder and they couldn't help but take it out on him. Yelling and spouting out with whatever angry thoughts that popped into their head. Ren never fight back, he understood why they said what they said and felt he deserved it. He felt responsible. It was even worst at school, everyone whispering about their agreement with his parents.

Although he does still live with his parents, they either yell at him, ignore him, or tell himself presentable for a party gathering. They try to seclude him to his own area in their home but other than that, they don't acknowledge him much.
