"everyone ready?"
joão says as he starts to turn rafael's car on.
"yes, now let's goooo!"
rafael says with a loud laugh as him and audrey are seated in the back together giggling amongst themselves as they look at tiktoks on audrey's phone.
joão lightly chuckles as he begins to effortlessly reverse out of the parking spot with one hand and then swiftly drives off onto the street.
"if you want, you can connect your phone and play whatever you'd like."
joão says as his eyes glance over at me with a slight smile adorning his face and then back onto the road.
i dig through my handbag for my phone and connect to the car's bluetooth feature and once it successfully connected, i then went through my liked songs with my tongue slightly poking out of the side of my mouth as i couldn't decide on which song to play.
"someone seems to be taking their sweet time, yeah?"
joão says as he now faces me completely since we reached a red light and smirks at me.
"what can i say, a girl has to take her time."
i say smirking playfully at him and then click my selected song, to which he shakes his head as he chuckles.
i end up playing "ALL MINE" by brent faiyaz and joão turns the volume up slightly louder and shoots me a small smile.
"nice choice for someone who took forever."
he says as he smirks again and brings his attention back to the road as the light has turned green.
