"Babe I can't be home early sorry actually I won't be home for 3 days. I'll come home in the morning to pack a few things up. I have a business deal in LA."

As soon as you read his text you sighed. "This is the 4th time you did this Jae" you said quietly as you tried not to cry.

You and Jaehyun have been married for a year now. At first he was the best boyfriend and then best husband for you but he kinda changed. Well you understood his father retired and gave him his CEO post. Jaehyun had a lot on his plate but this was unhealthy for your relationship. You understood his problems and him being busy but he had to understand you too.

He was always late on dates and programs. And now it's the 4th time he cancelled your date. In every family event people kept asking you about him. In every party with your friends they kept asking about him. You were tired of answering "oh he'll be here soon he's stuck in a meeting". People didn't say things on your face but you heard from here and there that they were disappointed like family is important too.

Almost all your friends and cousins were parents already. But look at you, you guys barely had time for sex. Quick kisses and sleepy hugs were the only things you got these past few months. The last time you had sex was 3 months ago. Even that was in his office when you visited him because he was super late for a date and made it up by a quick sex.

You couldn't blame him much but you had your needs too and you were legally married so wanting to be a mother ate your head everyday. You just wanted a normal life like others.
You quickly texted him an "okay" with your blurry eyes before going inside the kitchen.

You looked at the food you made with your own hands and a few tears rolled down your cheeks. You almost burnt your hand to make his favorites and now you felt like throwing them in the garbage. You've lost your appetite too. You took them and shoved them into the freezer.

Slowly you went upstairs to your shared bedroom and took a big gulp of the wine that you brought from the dining table. You placed the bottle on the nightstand and went near the mirror to look at yourself. You wore a pretty dress, had simple makeup, and you also curled your hair a little just like he loved.

You chuckled bitterly as you looked at yourself. "Look at you, you pathetic bitch. Stop crying like a weakling." You said pointing at yourself in the mirror.

You put your hair in a messy bun and changed yourself in a plain top and shorts. You took off your makeup almost rubbing and scratching your face till it was red. At this point this pain was better than the one in your heart.

Before going to bed you almost finished more than half of the wine bottle.
You didn't know what time it was but suddenly heard your bedroom door open and you knew Jaehyun was home. You kept your eyes shut. You heard him say a few things but you didn't understand as you were really sleepy and he was whispering.

Suddenly you felt him climbing the bed and he held your shoulders softly brushing his thumb over them. He softly moved your body so you were flat on the bed and he kissed your lips. Oh how much you wanted to just kiss him back till your lips were bruised. But you didn't.

He pulled after a few seconds and kissed your forehead before whispering "I'll be home soon baby". And then you heard a few more sounds like he was packing things and then you heard the doors closing and he was gone.

Jaehyun's POV:
As soon as the online meeting ended I groaned in frustration. They want me in LA and I won't be home for 3 days and on top of that as soon as I come back I'll be busy with the new project. I quickly texted y/n and waited for her to reply. And I got one in a few minutes. Just an "okay" and I knew I was fucked.
