I feel my body being shaken so I sit up. Draco glares at me, nervously. I stand up and look at him. I notice Mattheo standing behind him. He swings his arm around Draco.
"You alright?" Mattheo asks.
Draco nods.

Malfoy pulls the tapestry from the Vanishing Cabinet and steps back. He stares at the monolith before him, lifts his wand and begins to chant eerily. The surface of the cabinet glimmers, atremble in the ambient light. Almost alive. Then he stops. Looking back, his eyes haunted, he slips away. I grab Mattheo's hand and we follow Draco.
We make our way to The Astronomy tower. Draco opens the door, quite violently as Dumbledore stands there. We hide in the shadows, making sure Dumbledore cannot see us.
"Good evening, Draco," he turns to us, "What brings you out on such a fine Spring evening? Or is it Summer?"
I feel awful.
He's my uncle. That's why he was so nice. And, I'm witnessing him dying. I'm part of his murder.
Draco stands poised, wand in hand, eyes darting about.
"Who else is here? I heard you talking!" Draco says.
"I often talk aloud to myself. I find it extraordinarily useful. That which sounds sane at a whisper can seem utterly mad when said for all the world to hear. Haven't been whispering to yourself, have you, Draco?"
Draco eyes Dumbledore with unease."You are not an assassin, Draco."
"How do you know what I am? I've done things that would shock you."
"Like cursing Katie Bell and hoping she would, in turn, bear a cursed necklace to me? Like replacing a bottle of mead with one laced with poison. Forgive me, Draco, but these are attempts so feeble I cannot help but question if your heart has been really in them. I'm curious. When Voldemort gave you this task, when he asked you to kill me, was it in a whisper?" Dumbledore asks.
"He trusts me! I was chosen!" Draco says.I know it's an awful moment but he's kinda embarrassing himself...
Mattheo eyes my expression. Malfoy thrusts out his arm, pulls back his sleeve and reveals the dark mark. Dumbledore barely looks at it.
"Then I shall make it easy for you," Dumbledore says, slowly and without intent, Dumbledore draws his wand.
Instantly, Malfoy raises his own."Expelliarumus!" Draco says, quickly.
Dumbledore eyes the wand, then Draco."Well done, Draco. But I warn you. Killing is not nearly as easy."
Malfoy looks into Dumbledore's eyes, then to the sky, at the gathering clouds, twisting darkly, then glances at the stairwell. Dumbledore notices.
"You're not alone. Are you? There are others. How?"
A sneering smile plays over Malfoy's lips, "The Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement."
"That cabinet has been broken for years."
"I've been mending it.""Ingenious. Let me guess. It has a sister. A twin."
"In Borgin & Burkes. They form-"
"A passage, yes. Very good."
Dumbledore's eyes shift to me and Mattheo and then back to Draco.
"I once knew a boy years ago who made all the wrong choices. Let me help you, Draco," Dumbledore states."I don't want your help! Don't you see! I have to do it! I have to!" Draco says before mumbling something.
"Say that again, Draco. But aloud this time."
Draco looks deep into Dumbledore's eyes. His hand trembles. Slowly, Malfoy begins to lower his wand when footsteps echo. The door flies open, and Bellatrix, Greyback and the others enter.
"Well now, look what we have here. Dumbledore. Wandless and alone," Bellatrix states, "Cornered in his own castle. Well done, Draco."
