Bilbo and I got the contract. I swear they killed at least three trees to make these contracts. They were long. They were mostly about funeral arrangements, what might happen and the fact that I get one fifteenth of the treasure. I found the whole contract amusing. Especially since Thorin and the other dwarves were watching me like Hawks. It was actually quite creepy.

"Why are you really here, lass?"

I heard, I think it was Balin ask.

"How do you know who Thorin is? How do you know Gandalf? How do you know Bilbo?"

"Can I avoid these questions?" I asked, hopeful.

"Nope." Balin answered plainly.

"It is quite simple on how I know Bilbo, I was there when he was born."

"Well that explains everything," Fili said sarcastically.

I sighed frustrated.

"Are you always so annoying?" I asked frustrated.

"No, I'm just handsome." He said cockily.

Yeah, I thought, that TOTALLY explains everything.

"So, my lady, how did you meet Gandalf and how do you know Thorin?" Balin asked once again.

"When I first met Gandalf, my parents had just died." I say blankly.

"I'm sorry I didn't know." He said apologetically.

"No you didn't." I said frustrated, "anyways, Gandalf took me to Rivendell where I grew up. I have never met Thorin. Gandalf just told me about him and how he's supposed to be some 'great king'." That was not the whole truth though, I thought to myself.

"Oh." Was all he said. Really? I thought, that's all you have to say?

We suddenly hear a thump. I look to see that Bilbo has passed out on the floor. He fainted. Great, I thought, he now needs to get a cup of tea. I went and grabbed Gandalf by the arm and spoke to him.

"Gandalf, you take care of Bilbo. I need to go for a fly. Squlan has been sending me messages through the necklace." I say softly, "do not let him refuse. Convince him, no matter the cost. Do you understand?"

"Yes. Have a good fly." He says and I leave the cute hobbit hole. What I didn't notice was that there were 3 dwarves following me.

***

I called Squlan to me and waited. I stood there for about two minutes before I could see a familiar red dragon flying through the sky towards me. I stood there as she landed.

"Hello Squlan." I said to her.

"Master." She said bowing down.

I smiled and got on her head. When she stood up straight I saw three dwarves watching what was going on. So I said to Squlan.

"Lower your head."
