From fairest creatures we desire increase,
That thereby beauty's rose might never die,

အလှတရားရဲ့နှင်းဆီငုံလေးတွေသေဆုံးမသွားစေဖို့ရာအလှဆုံးသောသတ္တဝါလေးတွေတိုးပွါးလာစေဖို့
ကိုယ်တို့တောင့်တမိကြပါတယ်။

But as the riper should by time decease,
His tender heir might bear his memory;

But thou, contracted to thine own bright eyes,
Feed'st thy light's flame with self-substantial fuel,

Making a famine where abundance lies,
Thyself thy foe, to thy sweet self too cruel.

မင်းမှာအလှတရားတွေနဲ့ကုံလုံနေပေမယ့်လို့နဂိုထက်ပိုလှချင်သူမင်းဟာပဲကိုယ့်စိတ်ကိုယ်ညှင်းဆဲလို့မင်းအပေါ်မင်းအရမ်းရက်စက်နေခဲ့တာပေါ့။

Thou that art now the world's fresh ornament
And only herald to the gaudy spring,

Within thine own bud buriest thy content,
And, tender churl, mak'st waste in niggarding.

အလှတရားတွေကိုကိုယ့်အဖူးအငုံထဲမှာပဲမြှုပ်နှံထားတဲ့နူးညံ့ပေမယ့်စိတ်ထားပုပ်သူလေးမင်းဟာမင်းရဲ့စေးနှဲမှုအတွက်နဲ့အလှတွေကိုဖြုန်းတီးပစ်နေသလိုပါပဲ။

Pity the world, or else this glutton be,
To eat the world's due, by the grave and thee.
