"Do you think..you actually, like like..me..." I saw the way he stared at me after I asked

"It feels sort of like you found the other half of the puzzle, in a box you bought from the grocery store where half the pieces were gone" "Thank you" I said gratefully, knowing damn well that's how I felt now
"Anytime, Eds." He looked a bit sad, seeing as all I said was thank you and not hinting at anything
"I'll see you tomorrow, bye Ed's and goodnight" "goodbye trashmouth"
I watched him ride off to his street before I rode to my house
My mom yelled so much before I went to bed. I don't even care anymore.
She's the one who was intoxicating me, not Richie. She says he's a bad influence, while just last summer she forced me to take placebo pills.
I fell asleep, not even crying, just sitting there, wondering what it'd be like if I told rich I like liked him
I wake up after dreaming of telling Richie I like liked him and realized I was asleep
I heard the door bell ring and got dressed, my mom said it was that potty mouth so I assumed it was Rich, ofcourse
It was also Beverley, but that one mom didn't say anything about this time, atleast not what I heard
I went outside and we all trailed to the school but on the way Beverley was asking questions
Such as "Hey Richie, hypothetically if you and Eddie were to, date, would you make the first move or him?"
"Id say considering I hid this since kindergarten, he'd definitely make the first move"
"Well he seems to agree, he's blushing"
I shrugged it off, but I shit you not she was getting to my brain.
I was scared with every inch of my heart that I would end up revealing my newly found crush
It's not like he wouldn't like it, but I'm scared, his crush has kindled for years, mine I JUST noticed
I'm glad me knowing about him didn't change anything about us
'Us'..I mean our friendship..
"Bev could you like, ask later, please?"
"Oh yeah, I can do that Eddie" she shot me a smile in return and I gave her a side smile
