Richie gets into fights almost every 2 weeks, and never gets blamed for the fights. One day he gets hurt worse than usual and sits in the bathroom all period. Eddie comes in and finds him, he starts to help with his cuts and bruises. Soon Richie gets hurts badly to the point where Eddie has to take care of him. Richie is a prince - and a different one at that. Usually you'd think that being a prince is a dream come true, but not for Richie. He just wants a normal life, normal friends, maybe even a boyfriend. When he's given the chance to move to a place far away from his small kingdom in attempt to try and have a normal life, he couldn't be happier. The problem, however? He has to pretend he's not a prince. And lying? He's not so great at that. Although somewhat desperate for a boyfriend, he never actually expected to actually fall in love... Eddie Kaspbrak. The boy with the fanny pack, who actually likes Richie for Richie. And Richie can't tell him that he's a prince in a place on the other side of the world - and he wants it to stay that way. If someone were to find out, he'd have to move back home and never return. Richie finds out that not everything is as expected, and most definitely, you can never avoid being one of those who love.
