A simple melody

His fingers played.
Slow.
Each hit of a key produces a chord.
A melody.
the audience sat in silence listening.
They could feel his story.
A light voice belted out a melody of ah's.
An eerie feeling settled in the room.
Her cry, his song.
The people were mesmerized.
The duo sped up, their song becoming darker.
The clock chimed as midnight came around.

The first scream made them flinch.
The duo abruptly stopped singing, playing.
They stared out into the crowd seeing the second part of the show.
Teeth digging into soft flesh.
The smell of blood filled the room.

"Don't stop now." A deep voice filled their ringing ears.
The duo turned to the man.
The singer glanced at the piano player.
Fear was evident in her eyes as she started singing.
The piano player kept staring.
Entranced.
The man slowly walked over.
Drawing the piano player in.
His arua exuded sin.
You could feel his evil.
His rough hands gripped the piano player's face.
"Play for me."
his words rang through the man's ears.
His fingers slowly started to play again.
Excited fear filled his mind.
His fingers danced across the piano.
Slow, then faster as the man grew even closer.
He played, and he played until he grew weak.
The feeling of life draining his body.
He played until his body slumped away from the keyboard.
His eyes slowly blinked as he was lifted.
Entranced.
In pain.
He just wished to play.
