Lunch was exciting. We danced together in harmony for once and didn't look like the Sea Lions that the school used to make fun of. It was sort of something that all of us seemed to be proud of for the first time in a long time. We didn't necessarily enjoy being associated with the Sea Lions at first and most of us just used it as an excuse so we would have something to put on a college application but now we could actually be prideful as we introduced ourselves as a Sea Lion.

When it was over, we headed towards the gymnasium to practice, and we were fooling around for a while when Lina was talking to Evan.

As we soon practiced, I noticed Avery and a few others from the Jaguars standing near the top row of the bleachers as they came in through the back door. The principal followed by Henry soon walked in a few minutes after with Henry looking at us all in a bit of panic when the principal turned off the radio and glanced at Gloria and Trey.

"Sky, what's wrong? Why is your dad talking to the principal?" Lina whispered frantically from where she stood on the stunt as Fred and Luke placed her down.

Sky held the same confused expression over her features as she shrugged, "I don't know."

"What's wrong?" Lina asked walking towards Henry who seemed a bit hesitant to tell her whatever bad news that he had to share. I furrowed my brows and stepped forward to stand beside Sky as we looked for what had been so wrong for Henry to appear that way.

"Gloria, Treyvonetta, you need to come with me, please." Henry spoke softly as if hoping the entire team wouldn't have to hear but it was impossible with the silence that evoked in the air. Realization etched onto my features quick as I finally came to the conclusion in my mind that it had to do with them being removed off the MV waitlist suspiciously faster than usual.

"Henry, what's wrong?" Lina asked once more after glancing at Trey and Gloria who looked about as confused as everyone else did.

Henry sighed before running his hand over his face, "Look, there's no easy way to say this, Lina. The Board has revoked their transfer approval effective immediately."

"That's not fair. If anyone should be punished, it should be us." Sky argued looking at the trio in sympathy over the situation. I nodded in agreement knowing that I had a part in the situation so I understood her point of us being punished rather than the two transferred.

Henry turned towards Gloria and Trey before speaking in defeat, "Look, girls, if there was anything I could do you know I would've." Lina gave him a look making Henry frown as he noticed her suspicion from his statement, "Now you know I would've, right?"

"Come on Lina. He tried and is honestly still trying," I defended causing Lina to nod in defeat with a downcast expression. I understood how hurt she must've been but there was no reason for her to feel as if their movement of being revoked had been Henry's fault. It wasn't and it wasn't our fault either.

"I'm sorry, but..." Henry started once more before giving up, "Let's just go girls." He motioned for Trey and Gloria to follow who bid their goodbyes as they walked with him towards the exit.

Nudging Lina, I gestured my head towards where Avery stood as she stared at Henry with a grin making Lina scoff as she moved forward to give the girl a piece of her mind even though it seemed like she actually wanted to punch her. "You jealous bitch! You ratted us out!"

Avery smirked and shrugged at Lina's words, "Well it's a good thing you can't touch me, because you could be expelled just like your little home girls."

"Don't blame Avery for getting them deported." Kayla sneered beside Avery.

"Oh, just shut the fuck up for once Kayla!" I exclaimed moving up the steps before Christina stopped me as she pulled my arm back down.

Lina fed up, lifted a finger towards the two threateningly, "One more word from you and I will herkie you in the throat!"

"You forgot you can't reach me." Kayla said with a smug grin. I flipped her off causing her to scoff as she moved closer to the edge.

Avery placed a hand on Kayla's forearm to stop her from speaking further as she seemed to desire to, "It's okay, Kayla. I'll gladly take the credit for clubbing those baby seals."

"And I'll gladly take the credit for clubbing your ass to the wall." I confessed back to her with a sarcastic smile when she glanced at me before crossing my arms over my chest. "No seriously just try me Avery."

Christina put her hands out before her as she narrowed her eyes, "Hey, Cheer-ella De Vil, there's a big difference between seals and sea lions, you know."

Lina and I looked at her confused. Christina turned to us wide eyed and shrugged when we continued to stare at her blankly.

"Hey, goofazon! I don't care. Post it for your BFF on your fungus-filled Facebook page." Avery told her in response.

"You are seriously trying to catch an All Star beat down." Lina deadpanned. "I swear I will go up there and mess you up."

She seemed like she wanted to continue her threats, but Sky stopped her. "It's okay Lina. It's not worth it. Let's go say goodbye to our friends." She told Lina gently pushing her so she could move from Avery and her goons.

"And say bye-bye to the Spirit Championships while you're at it." Avery retorted as her team bid us sarcastic goodbyes with Lina and I flipping her off in unison as a response as we headed home to help Trey and Gloria pack.
