"Let's go Dream Team!" We chanted repeatedly as we made our way down the bus. Everyone was overjoyed from being here, especially Sky and Christina who were squealing repeatedly and even Gloria who kept squeezing my arm every time Trey would say how nice the gymnasium seemed to be. Making our way inside, Avery and her crowd of minions followed behind her as she made her way towards us wearing smug grins.

Lina stepped forward tauntingly, "You were right, Avery. I wasn't thinking like an All Star. But you know what?"

"What?" Avery frowned in agitation whereas Kayla looked over at each one of us in disgust. Fred flipped her off making her glare but Luna decided to grab his hand and pull him beside George so he wouldn't do anything rash as she continued to rub his arm in comfort.

"Now I'm thinking like a winner." Lina shrugged in confidence as the rest of us nodded at her words.

"Honestly. I'm glad they're here, because when you're an All Star you want to compete against the best. And you guys are," Avery started causing the Jaguars to give her looks before she started laughing with Kayla joining along once she realized what she was doing. Avery wiped a fake tear off of her cheek before she started speaking, "I'm so sorry!" She laughed holding her stomach before continuing, "I really thought that I could say that with a straight face. But the truth is you're still losers."

"Tráelo." Lina said.

"I don't speak Taco Bell menu. So, what does that mean?" Avery addressed her annoyed.

I rolled my eyes at her response before stepping forward, "Bring it."

"Oh we will..." Kayla addressed with a glare as i moved forward to hit her but Gloria grabbed onto my arm while Sky stepped in front of me.

Both teams soon went their separate ways to prepare for the first half of the upcoming competition.

In our first performance, Lina had me be a flyer for the right side so when I realized that George and Fred were the ones that had to be the base for me, I almost panicked, because they tend to joke around too much sometimes and it once landed Christina with a broken arm a long time ago. But I would say that fortunately this time everything went smoothly.

I would admit that even the Jaguars did well, but of course I wouldn't say that out loud, Gloria and Lina might just murder me in my sleep if I did. Actually they wouldn't even have to, I would probably do that to myself if I had to confess that statement for anyone.

The reporter stepped up to announce the teams that would be finalists. "The teams moving on to the finals tomorrow are Glendale, the Jaguars, the California All Stars and the Malibu Dream Team."

"The heat is on and we're gonna be back tomorrow to see who takes home the coveted All Star Spirit Championship trophy."

After the announcement, everyone who was happily celebrating their victories went their own directions to probably further celebrate their moment as a finalist elsewhere. I had been following Lina when I heard my name being called.

"Hey Vanessa!" I turned and noticed Joshua started walking over to me. He didn't make it very far since Kayla stopped him while he had been walking with Avery right beside him. They both were wearing shit-eating smirks and it was starting to piss me off.

I frowned, crossing my arms over my chest. The sight in front of me left a bitter taste in my mouth and I was about to walk over until I saw the two leave angrily while Joshua shrugged and continued his walk towards me with a grin. He eyed my face for a few moments before laughing in realization, "Wait are you --"

I held a hand up as soon as the words left his mouth to stop him from talking any further. I knew what he was going to say and I didn't want to hear it, especially not right now.

"Well, I blew them off, by the way." Joshua added continuing to laugh.

I scoffed watching as Joshua grabbed onto my hands as he uncrossed my arms, "Yeah, I can see. Avery walked off like something was stuck up her ass and Kayla looks like she ate a huge sour lemon."

"Well, I really don't care about how they looked. I only want to see you. You know, my girlfriend?" Joshua corrects making me suppress the urge to roll my eyes. I turn my head slightly to the right and noticed Victor and Gloria watching us with small but prominent proud grins. It was hilarious, since they always seemed to be right there watching us whenever we believed it was just the two of us. I nudged Joshua and gestured for him to look before he groaned in disbelief, "God dammit! It's like I can never escape that fool."

His response made me laugh loudly causing a grin of his own to appear over his features. Victor called him and told him they had to leave making him peck my cheek and bid me farewell. I walked over to where Lina and Sky were sitting and sat across from the two as Isabel handed me a plate of food.

"Thanks Henry. For everything." Lina said as Henry handed her a plate of food as well.

Henry let a tiny smile slip before he walked back to Isabel who had been grinning after she heard what Lina said as well. I was glad that she was thanking him, he had been trying to get on her good graces for a while.

"Aw Lina! Your warming up to Henry!" I pretended to swoon as she hit my shoulder.

"Great. Now he's gonna love you forever." Sky added causing Lina to laugh as she stared down at the food avoiding our eyes with a prominent grin etched on her features.
