The sun began to dip below the horizon as you walked towards the Village of Sonadores. You smiled when you were close enough to hear the children still outside and the townspeople enjoying what was left of their day. You entered the village in search of an Inn, as you preferred to not sleep in a tree or hole tonight. While walking down the street and looking for an Inn, you took notice of the baskets of flowers hung from almost every lamp post. The tavern you walked by had a few men standing outside, sharing a drink and a laugh. While walking a small child had accidentally kicked his ball at you. "Lo siento, senora." (I'm sorry ma'am) The little boy called sheepishly as he picked up his ball from at your feet. You let out a kind laugh, ruffled his shaggy blonde hair and responded, "No pasa nada, carino." (No harm done, sweetie). He smiled big and ran off to be with what you assumed to be his friends.  After walking a few more minutes you came across a large burnt orange building with a sign labeling the building as 'Posada de Maria'. You let out a sigh of relief and walk inside. You go to the desk and greet the small older woman sitting behind it. She has a calm warm smile that feels like that of a loving grandmother. Her black hair was pulled back into a lovely braid, decorated with flowers. She wore a pink shawl with golden trim over a medium blue dress that pooled at her feet. "Hola! My name is Maria, what can I help you with querida?" Her voice was so sweet it sounded as though it were laced with honey. You smiled and rented a room for the night, asking a few things about the local shops and the likes. After a short friendly chat and paying for the room, Maria bids you farewell for the night and tells you which direction your room is in.

After getting settled in your room for the night, you decide a drink and some food sounded great. You decide to clean up a bit before you head out. You wash your face and drag a brush through your (h/c) locks. Your (e/c) orbs landed on the scar running from the top of your left brow to just below your eye. You let out a deep sigh and decide to not relive that memory today. You put your brush away along with your traveling bag in the wardrobe. You left your room, waved at Maria as you left the building, and went happily on your way. You walked down the road, seeing a few people outside their homes lighting candles, some giving you a friendly wave. "This place is very nice. I almost want to stay." You say quietly to yourself with a smile. Finally reaching the tavern, you walk inside and sit down at the bar. "Hola. Can I get some water with today's special please?" You softly ask the bartender. He turns around and looks at you with a friendly but tired smile. "Seguramente! One moment please, querida." He turns for a moment and quickly gets you your glass of water. "I'll be right back with your meal!" He said sweetly before leaving behind the bar and disappearing into the kitchen.  You take a small notepad and start writing down your plans for tomorrow. While thinking and just taking in your surroundings in the tavern, you see a map hung on the wall of the tavern and start sketching it so you have a little bit of a sense of direction on where to go tomorrow.  While sketching, the bartender returns with your food and sees you with your notepad. "Would you like a map? We have them down at the shop. Miss Garcia runs the shop. She would be more than happy to help a traveler." He places your food down in front of you and quickly has to walk away to tend to other patrons. While eating, you start to feel a bit uneasy, as if you are being stared at. You look around and see nobody looking at you, everybody was just doing their own thing. You chalked it up to your nerves and just being on edge.

Back in your room, you were reading your spell book and taking notes. There was a spell you had been practicing and taking notes on for weeks.A spell that granted the castor invisibility for a short time. You wanted so badly to perfect it, you had never studied a spell for this long. Every attempt leads to something else turning invisible for hours or you would make a body part transparent for awhile. How you managed even those mishaps you will probably never know. After two hours of turning items in the room invisible, you were so fed up that you felt the urge to cry from just rage. "Ahora facil. No te pongas demasiado nervioso." (Easy, now. Don't get too worked up) You said to yourself between deep breathes. 'Maybe that's enough for tonight..' you sighed, admitting defeat for the time being, and got into bed. You got comfortable and lay awake, gazing at the ceiling. The moonlight pools into the room through the open window, giving the space a cool toned color pallet that makes the atmosphere feel calm. But here you would lay for the next few minutes to almost half an hour, staring deeply into the ceiling, wondering why you can't close your eyes. Before you know it, the sun starts to peak in through the window as it climbs the horizon, sending light straight into your still open and gazing eyes. "Aah!! hijo de puta!!" You hiss as you squeeze your eyes shut, covering your head with the blanket. You laid there and groaned for a few minutes, taking in the fact you didn't sleep that night and feeling absolutely clueless as to why you never even caught a wink. Begrudgingly, you pull yourself up into a sitting position. You stand up, rub your eyes, and start your morning routine.

The shop smelled heavy of lavender and many other floral scents as the shopkeeper was currently making flower bouquets to put in the window. You looked at the maps, trying to decide which direction your journey should go. After roughly ten minutes, you decide on a map and go to pay. "Solo el mapa, carino?"(Just the map, darling?) The lady asked, her red curls bouncing as she moved. "Si por favor." She puts your map in a scroll casing, tying a small bag of flowers and gemstones to the top. "Aqui, carino. Algunas cosas para el camino. Este seguro ahi fuera." (Here, hon. A few things for the road. Be safe out there) She said with a smile before handing you the map and turning back to her flowers. You left the shop with your map and decided that you would look at the gemstones she gave you. After opening the bag, you separate the flowers and gems apart only to find a very small bottle of bluish liquid and a note. Confused, you open the note and read it, only to be left more confused than before.

"This should help you with that spell! Good luck!"

You shove the note and everything in it into your travel bag and begin to leave the town. Looking around at the lovely streets and all the happy people that lived in this village, you find yourself again thinking, "I wish I could stay." You sigh and continue walking until you're outside the village, turn and give it one last look. You crack a smile, hoping you can come back and see the people here again. With that, you turn around and continue your walk off into the unknown of the world.

A/N: Hey guys! This first chapter is to hopefully flesh out your character a little bit and to help give some backstory to you and the hopeful feel of the book! Also, not all of the conversations are going to be in spanish and I apologize if it is incorrect, I will admit I have been using google translate for this!
