Way back when you was just a little one around 8 years old

You moved into town with your older sister Maria after Dr. Eggman has passed from a sickness.

This was around the time when king Sonic would be the first day of taking y/n out of the castle to explore the town and get to say hi to others around town

Everyone was so excited to finally see her after 8 years of the announcement of her birth.

You was lucky enough to see little miss y/n

You was front row with Maria waiting for her to come along the road

When she was with king Sonic and his old knights you saw her next to him and she saw you

She walked over to you to introduce herself to you

"Hello.. I'm y/n. What's your name?" She asked shyly ish

I blushed a bit and I got shy

"My name is shadow." I said

"Shadow? That's a cool name! Wanna hang out sometime?" She asked

Everyone around awwed and sonic noticed them and came over

"I would like that." I said

"Well I see you already made a friend y/n" sonic said

"Yeah! His name is Shadow!" She said with excitement

He picked her up and Maria picked me up

"It's a pleasure meeting you king Sonic" maria said

"I'm assuming your Maria I heard you was coming to town" sonic said

"Yep that's me." She said with a smile

"Dad! Dad! Can me and Shadow play later?" Y/n asked getting exited and shouting a bit

He chuckled "sure, if that's ok with miss Maria" sonic said looking at Maria

"Well that sounds wonderful! Of course he can hang out with you" she said

"Yay!" Y/n said

It was the most wholesome moment. It was like I was there...

From there on you and y/n where impractically inseparable

You two would hang out every day at sonics castle and would always play in the garden

But one day... Something bad happened.

Everyone was screaming in terror and some building where set on fire
