So I marked off the smut part, so if you don't want to read it, it's okay. It has (..........) those small dots to mark it off.

Hilda knew that the small crack was dangerous even though Atreus was more than willing to figure out whatever it was. Hilda was content with not knowing why gods even existed in the first place for the moment. If she was going to find out the answer, she was to throw books, not from a mysterious crack in a wall that was drawn to a mask. It was broken for a reason. Anything too powerful that was able to grant instant knowledge came with a massive price. Her magic made her weak the more she used it; the more influential the spelled l, the more energy it took from her. It was balanced as it should be, but this mask wasn't balanced.

Atreus pointed out that it wasn't from the nine realms, which made it seem that it came from another place with other gods or another world entirely. Hilda knew the vast world, so why couldn't life be elsewhere? Atreus was trying to figure out what was on the mask, and Hilda was still ready to fight what would come out of that small crack.

"Atreus, I wouldn't read those words out loud; it could be a spell," Hilda informed.

"It's not a clue, I think to a second piece of the mask," Atreus said.

"Okay, but I'm watching the crack," she informed.

"I'm glad you always have my back, and I don't mean that sarcastically either," Atreus smiled as he tried to read the mask.

"Well, you earned my trust, and I do trust you," she said.

"You two should get married; you never know. Someone might take her away from you, Loki," Odin said as Atreus froze.

Atreus remembered how similar Hikda and her mother looked; if he weren't careful, he would hurt Hilda the same way Odin pulled her mother. He was never going to let that happen ever, but that didn't mean that Odin wouldn't give him a chance. Hilda noticed how close he was to Atreus as he started to read the clue. It didn't make sense to Atreus, but it made sense to Odin.

"What does it mean?" Atreus asked.

"Well, keep working with me, and we can save everyone, maybe. We need the inside answers; I know you felt what I felt. Come on, we can do this together," Odin informed.

"Okay, if I do help you, what comes next?" Atreus asked.

"Thor! Come down here!" Odin called, making Thor appear right behind him.

"All-father," he said.

"Don't do that!" Odin said, making Hilda put her weapons away.

"What's next is you following it to where ever it takes you. Take the mask and this heavy side of beef here with you," Odin said as Atreus took the mask and attached it to his belt.

"Thor isn't an animal; he's your son. If you are trying to impress Atreus with how you treat your family, you are doing a bang-up job," Hilda said as she crossed her arms.

"It's the only way he will listen to me, sadly," Odin informed.

"You just like making people feel like crap; words hurt. He has a brain and uses it," Hilda said as Atreus gave her a warning look.

"I know you still hate me, and it's okay. I get it. Your mother didn't want you to use your powers; she lied to you, she got herself killed, and dwarfs raised you. I'm trying my best to make it up to you, Hilda believe me," he said as she went over to Atreus.

"Thor is easy on him, you hear me? Happy hunting Atreus," he said with a smile.

"I can't promise I'll find anything," Atreus informed.
