"Please don't get too close. Any more contact with Reiryoku will only worsen her condition." Elliot said as the door to Sawa's room opened.

"Sawa-san....." Kurumi muttered the name of her dearest friend who was sleeping on the bed in the middle of the room. "Sorry....I'm sorry, so so....sorry...." Tears filled Kurumi's eyes.

"Kurumi....." Lucas didn't know how to cheer her up. Taking a step closer, he placed his arm on Kurumi's shoulder and pressed her closer.

Was there nothing they could do? Just how long will it take for Sawa to wake up---a day, a month, a year? No, decades could pass without any update on Sawa's condition. Therefore, Lucas made up his mind.

"Woodman-san."

"What is it?"

"Is there....any way to save her?" When Lucas inquired, Elliot regretfully shook his head in silence.

"But---Is there really no way? Have you tried using a Realizer? Maybe---it can be done somehow?" Lucas wanted to believe. Believe that there was a way to save Sawa and have her return to an ordinary life. If there was a way to turn humans into Spirits, there must also be a way to turn them back like a lock that can be turned to lock and unlock something. There had to be a way.

"....Truth be spoken, we are also currently searching for a way to turn Spirits back into regular humans---but we have yet to find a way."

"Still....! I want to try. I want to save Sawa---I want to turn Kurumi into a human again! Please...Maybe I could find a way!" Lucas begged desperately. Elliot silently stared at Lucas with a mix of surprise and understanding. For some reason....Ah, it did make sense why Lucas would say this. After all, he's---

"Say, Lucas-kun."

"...?"

"Will you help me....save the Spirits?"

"...! Aah, of course!" When being asked so, Lucas enthusiastically answered as he gripped his fist.

Since then, two decades have passed. During that time, Karen tutored Lucas about the Realizer, the machinery, and the equipment they could make out of them. And---answered the questions he had in his mind for quite some time.

Spacequakes. A large quake that occurs when a Spirit enters this world from the neighboring world. The AST (Anti-Spirit-Team). A secret unit of Wizards within the JGSDF (Japan Ground Self-Defense Force). The team is designed to suppress and eliminate the Spirits with lethal force. The terrorist, former Wizards of the Special Sorcery Service, the British equivalent to the AST.

From that point on, when Lucas promised to save the Spirits, he had been working his butt off. Every day, he would wake up and learn about the realizer. Work with a Realizer. Work together with Karen and the team. Build Realizer prototypes.

Consequently, the secret organization named "Ratatoskr" was founded by Elliot---for the purpose of saving the Spirits.

After a long and tiring day of work, Lucas was not done. Takamiya Mio was a threat. A large one. One who boasts a tremendous power beyond anyone's fantasy. For that reason, he had to train. Train until his body fails. Train until his bones started cracking. Train until even blood gushed out of his body from the overload.

During that time, Lucas came to know new employees, Itsuka Haruko and Itsuka Tatsuo. A freshly married couple, who had both been given the position of Realizer Mechanics.

Of course, just like any other employee, they thought Lucas was an ordinary human. But one day---

"Ah, so this is the swimming hall!"
