It's gotten hard to breathe here
these past few years
I'm buried in the sins
and drowned in the tears
I'd do anything to feel
the wind on my skin
But right here I'm smothered
Nothing left to give
Someday I'll find my wings
and soar away
I'm alone if I go
but dead if I stay
And I'll be long gone
when the world caves
I'll find my way out
of this place someday
It's gotten easy to pretend
I'm happy in this town
Just put on another smile
when inside I'm broken down
Every way I turn
there's another judging face
Every night I dream of when
I'll leave this place
Someday I'll find my wings

It's strange, the weight
that's in my bones
This is hell, but it's all
that I've ever known
Will I have the strength
when it's time to go?
