The Man and the Bot

     "Do you want to proceed?" The automated voice asked "Yes" A male responds, "Are you su- u- ure?" "Uhm, yeah?" "Loading..." "This was either my best idea or my worst mistake."
     It was probably the latter, though.
     "Hello!" A feminine voice rung out. The male jumped. "Who are you?" "I'm your new friend!" Silence, then he spoke up, "No" "Why not?" She said, looking around the small space. "Because, I don't want to be friends." He grumbled "Oh" she said with her impression of a pout. "Don't 'Oh' me, robot!" Neither of them spoke for a moment before she asked, "What is your name?" "Later." "Your name is.. Later?" "No, I mean I'll tell you later." The male said, irritated. "Power off." The automated voice from before rung out. The male jumped as the AI blinked intelligently, the sound of the automated helper bouncing off of the space and echoing throughout the small space. "Let's go." The male said, sighing in annoyance before getting up and kicking a small rock. Er, trying to, it rolled under his foot and tripped him. The robotic girl chuckled lightly, before offering the man her hand. He slapped it away.

"You live here?" The robotic female inquired "Yup" the male responded, before (begrudgingly) adding "And so do you" he says, before muttering "Unfortunately" under his breath, "Hey!" She exclaimed in protest, "Not sorry" he says with a grin "Hmph!" "..." "..." The silence, they both thought, was awkward. The male got up, grabbed some clothes, and went down the hallway. The female was left to ponder what on earth he could be doing! She heard running water and thought out loud, "He must be doing what humans call "Showering", then". A small "Meow!" Was heard from the corner of the room, and the robot had felt something small and fuzzy on her leg. 'A cat?' She thought.

When the man was done showering, he was wearing red shirt and charcoal-black sweatpants. The shirt was streaked with charcoal black, and the pants were streaked with the red. They created a wood grain pattern. "I'm going to bed, you can explore the town." He said. "Okay" She responded simply "Okay, I'll do that."

'Wow!' She thought 'This place is awesome! An arcade and a fairground! And these must be what humans call 'leaves', and wow, oh just wow it's stars dotting the sky just like freckles!' She was in awe, as she'd never seen outside. Or had she? She doesn't remember, but that's okay, she didn't need to.

Not yet at least.
