Chapter 4

"Lu, I'm sorry for bringing that up in front of them..." He started to say as soon as I shut the door.

"It's fine. I need to be more open with them..." I said, pulling him into a hug.
"It just hurts, you know..." I said as I broke down crying.

"I know, Hun. You were so close... but you know what Ace would tell you?" He asked, causing me to look up at him.
"He would tell you to stop being such a crybaby, and that it was his job as an older brother to protect his younger siblings." He said, causing me to cry more.

"You're right, but knowing that doesn't help any. I knew he was in trouble a week before everything went to hell, but I chose not to do anything! If I had set sail with my crew when I realized that he was in danger..." I said, pausing.

"Then you would blame yourself if any of your crew got hurt. You know, as much as I do that, none of you were strong enough to be in that war. You only lasted as long as you did because of your will to save your brother, which you did, by the way. But he chose to save your life, so stop blaming yourself for it." He said as he started to pet my hair.

"I can't promise you anything." I said quietly after calming down.

"I know."

"So, what did you need to talk about?"

"We need to set sail soon, I am being chased by slave traders." He said, causing me to look up at him in shock and anger.
"I managed to free myself by killing the guard that held me prisoner, but they are about 25 miles out by now. I was only able to get here due to my fruits ability, but they will be coming after me..." He explained, causing me to wipe my face and stand up.

"How did they manage to capture you?"

"I was drugged at the first island I stopped at. They were on their way to the slave auction on the island closest to us and were trying to pick up strong slaves for the auction. It was just fate that I felt your haki and was close enough to warp here." He explained, causing me to hug him.

"Was their group strong? And were there any more slaves on board?"

"They were pretty average, but there were two very strong people's on board... And there are about ten other slaves there. I was able to free them, but they didn't dare leave due to their fear of the leader." He finished, causing me to storm out onto the deck.

"I need everyone on deck!" I shouted, causing everyone to gather quickly.
"Everyone, there is a slave ship on its way here." I said, causing everyone to freeze.
"The reason why Niki was hurt was due to him being captured by them... There are still slaves on board, and I would like to rescue them. Niki, will you explain the situation more?"

"There is one older man, three women, one man in his twentys, five children." He said, causing the crew to be furious.
"The ship is a pirate crew lead by the pirate called Freeman, pretty funny due to them mostly dealing with slaves... he has a high bounty, but his second in command is the stronger of the two. His name is Blaze, and he is a swordsman. Other than that, they have a crew of fifty people who are average for the beginning of the Grand Line."

"Do you think we will have a problem fighting them?" Zoro asked, clearly looking forward to fighting the swordsman.

"No. Lu would be able to knock out almost all of their crew with his haki alone. It's more about Freeman and Blaze that you have to worry about. But Lu, I have faith that your crew is strong enough." Niki causing everyone, including me, to blush a bit.

"Okay! Captain's orders are to free those slave at all cost! Personally, I will have no regrets killing them, but you don't have to if you don't want to." I said, causing the crew to look at me shocked.
"What? This won't be the first time I have killed someone. After the war, I decided that if the person I go against has done something worthy of death, then I will grant them it instead of just letting them go to hurt more people." I said, causing the crew to look at me in agreement or shock.
"So, enough of that, let's start preparing for the incoming fight." I said as Niki and I walked back to my room.

"You haven't killed in front of them?" He asked as he walked over to my dresser and started going through it.

"No. They have only seen my innocent and goofy side." I replied, wondering what he was doing.

"Why?" He asked, pulling out a pair of his black jeans and one of my red button-up shirts.

"Because I don't want to act the same way I acted on Dawn Island." I replied as he started to change but got his bandages caught in his hoodie.

"Here, let me help." I said as I walked over and helped him get his hoodie off before kissing him deeply.
"My fee." I said with a laugh as I tried to back up to allow him to finish.

"I missed that." He said, pulling me into another kiss.

"Luv, if you keep kissing me while you're undressed, I will have a hard time not taking you here and now." I said lightly, pushing him away before slapping his ass.

"I would enjoy that, but you're right. We have some people to fight." He said, getting dressed while leaving his shirt unbuttoned.
"Okay, this is easier to move in." He said, causing me to glare.

"Luv, your shirt isn't buttoned."

"Either is yours." He said with a smirk.

"Okay, fine." I replied with a chuckle.

On a certain slave ship...

"Where are you? You were supposed to be here a week ago." A woman's voice said quietly through a small responder snail.

"I come across a slave ship carrying children when I was looking for the information I needed." A blonde hair man replied.

"You're on the ship, aren't you?" She grumbled.

"Of course I am."

"Just be safe." The woman replied before hanging up.
