Chapter 8

Merlin started to help Arthur get ready Arthur was watching merlin closely
Once Arthur was done getting ready he and merlin went to the training ground to see the knights once they got there Arthur started talking to the knight

Merlin was standing there waiting until king Richard came up to him "hey merlin" merlin turned around to face Richard. Merlin smiled a little as to not seem rude "hey" Merlins small voice replied, Richards smile grow wider "what are you doing?" The man asked. Merlin looked around at Arthur and then back to Richard "oh uh I'm waiting for Arthur " merlin whispered looking at the floor

"Well that seems boring " Richard said looking right at merlin, merlin didn't look at Richard "well Arthur's orders so I have to follow them " merlin tried to look anywhere but Richard "why don't you come with me " Richard said his voice deeper than before. Merlin shook his head" I  really shouldn't " his voice growing smaller

While he was talking to Richard Arthur had finally finished talking to the knights now he was looking around for merlin. When he finally saw merlin he wasn't happy to see him talking to the king Richard, so he stomped over there trying to calm his anger "merlin there you are" said Arthur in the calmest voice he could muster, merlin looked up and caught Arthur's eyes "hey s-sire " Merlins voice was all but a whisper at this point but Arthur could still hear him

"Oh hey Arthur" came Richards voice, Arthur tried not to seem angry "oh hey what were you and merlin talking about hm? " Arthur asked, merlin looked at the floor avoiding Arthur's gaze
"Oh nothing I was just asking him what he was doing " Richard said his voice calm. Arthur looked at merlin but merlin still wouldn't look at him

"Well we should leave we're super busy " Arthur said as he grabbed Merlins arm and walking away leaving no room for Richards reply

Arthur dragged merlin all the way back inside the castle "sire" came Merlins small voice Arthur stopped and looked at merlin "I told you not to talk or touch him did I not" Arthur said merlin looked at the floor but Arthur grabbed his chin making him look at Arthur "he came u-up to me s-sire " Merlin said looking at Arthur. Arthur looked at merlin for a few minutes before letting his chin go

"Don't let it happen again " Arthur said in a stern tone all merlin could do was nod. Arthur smiles at merlin nodded "now come we're super busy said Arthur dragging Merlin with him as he walked
