"Kinakabahan ako."

"Why naman?" Kai asks, I sighed heavily, "Diba magsp-speech ako? 'Di ako nakapag-practice, eh!" 

Kai chuckles at me and pinches my cheek, "That's okay, words will come into your mind once you're there. That's what happened to me." 

I playfully scoffed, "Siyempre! Magna Cum Laude ka, eh." 

She furrows her brows, "Hello? As if you aren't one too?" Kai says to me, "And look at your polo, you buttoned it the wrong way. Let me do it nga." she approaches me and starts unbuttoning my polo to button it again, but in the right way.

"So... are you ready now, Engineer Dav?" Kai smiles at me, I nod my head and smile back at her, "Yep. What would I do without you?" 

"Nangbo-bola ka pa. Let's go na!" 

Siya na rin daw ang magd-drive para makalma ko pa sarili ko. I really appreciated that even though it's just something small. 

"Hello, ma?" sagot ko kay mama nung tumawag siya sa'kin, 

[Sa'n na kayo, 'nak? Traffic ba?] 

"Chill lang po," I chuckled, "Maaga pa naman, ma. Nandiyan na kayo agad?" I ask. 

[Oo, 'nak! Siyempre!] 

I and my mom talked more on the phone and she eventually ended it kasi ayaw niya na raw akong kausapin, chos!

"We're here na!" Kai says to me when we arrived at Ateneo, I sighed heavily to myself. 

"Last year ko sa Ateneo at last year din sa UAAP. What if hindi ako nag ME?" I chuckled, Kai then holds my hand and warmly smiles at me, "I know that you'll miss Ateneo, I mean, duh! It's like your home, I understand that. But you have to let go of things, baby. That's how life is. Besides, this is now the start of opening a new door with bigger opportunities!" 

"Right," I nod, "I'll get that engineer title, swear." 

"I know you will." she smiles.
