3rd october 1978
I woke up and my head was ringing with pain.
"Fuck" i mutter to myself and i look around my surroundings to see the annoying face of Robin Arellano beside me
"Robin, ROBIN" i yell and he jolts awake
"Huh?" He says, before looking around and rubbing his head
"We got kidnapped dumbass" i roll my eyes
"Well now i know thank you" he says sarcastically
"Okay no time for argueing i want to get out" i say as i get up and look around
"Why are you still in ur party fit?" He asks, still laying on the mattress
"I got kidnapped right after the party cabazo" i scoff
"Have my jumper" he says, taking off his jumper and he has a white t shirt on underneath
"You sure?" I confirm with him as he nods, before i slide it on
"Thank you bandana boy" i smile at the boy before looking around
"Lets kill the hijo de puta" robin says
"Yah yah how though" i ask, tilting my head
"We can figure that out, can we just rest my head hurts" he says, falling on the mattress again
"Fine" i say as i sit next to him and the mattress was so fucking small that our legs were touching
"Why do you hate me?" Robin speaks up
"Why shouldnt i?" I ask
"Give me five reasons why you hate me and ill stop asking" he challenges
"Okay first of all what u said in sixth grade second of all ur annoying.. uhm" i cant find anymore reasons
"exactly, and i already got moose to shutup about you 'liking him' because if im honest with you matteo was never gonna fight him i wanted you to stop hating me but yet you still do" robin admits and my heart melts. Thats so sweet especially coming from robins mouth.
"Im sorry" i mumble
"What was that" robin smirks at me
"Dont make me repeat it" i scoff
"I didnt hear it, please repeat cabrona" robin says and i hit the back of his head, smiling. But then suddenly, the door unlocks and we scoot back
"Hi guys!" The old hag says
"Let us go" i spit
"Wheres the fun in that?" He tilts his head
"There wont be no fun when i rip ur hair out of ur skull" i yell at him
"Oh somebody has an attitude, you pulled a number on my hand but ill let you go for that one" he says
"Why are you down here?" Robin asks
"You guys seemed frightened, would you like a soda? Ill get you a soda then come back" he says before rushing upstairs
"The phone... cant we use that as a weapon?" Robin says, examining the phone
"We could fill the reciever with dirt?" I suggest and robin looks at me with eyes full of hope and nods, making me smile
"ill find more shit to use" i say as i walk away but then the phone rings
"Robin do you hear that?" I ask
"Hear what?" Robin replies
"The fucking phones ringing?" I say in a 'duh' tone
"No its not are you okay?" He asks and i just storm to the phone and pick it up
"Hello?" I say through the phone
"Mercedes..." i hear a raspy voice say over the line
"Bitch what the fuck" i say as i hang up the phone and take a few steps back
"What happened?" Robin says, his fists clenching
"It said my name robin" i say as it rings again
"Its ringing again" i say
"Pick it up" robin replies and i do as he says
"Dont hang up" the voice says
"I wont who is this?" I reply
"I dont remember my name" the voice says
"Okay, ill work with it. What did you do?" I ask
"Uhm i delivered papers and i was friends with gwen" he says
"Billy, ur billy the paperboy!" I say as i jump up and down
"Okay theres a wire that i took out of the wall, uhm and also if the grabber leaves the door unlocked please do not go up. Its a trap" billy suggests
"Why shouldnt we?" I ask
"He will beat you with a belt. Its fucking painful. You beg for him to stop we all did, but he wont stop, not until you pass out." Billy says and i get shivers down my spine
"Thank you billy" i say before hanging up the phone and repeating everything to robin
"What are we meant to do with a wire?" He asks and i giggle
"We will figure it out stupid now lets get it out the wall." I roll my eyes and we both go to the wall and get the wire out.
TIME SKIP // AFTER THEY LAID OUT A PLAN
10th october 1978
me and robin have thought of a decent plan. With the help of a few dead people ofcourse we have made a pretty solid fight, but i was weak, i felt little for the first time in my life and i have no motivation
"Robin its been like forever i dont want to do this anymore" i mutter
"Cmon mercedes we got this" he says and the phone rings, i sigh and pick it up
"What do you want?" I say boredly
"Hi baby" i hear a familiar voice and tears immediately fill my eyes
"Dad?" I say and my voice is raspy from trying to not cry
"Dont cry querido" he comforts me
"Im not" i wipe my tears and robin walks over to the phone
"Ive been with you the whole time sweetheart, you have to make it out for me, for maddie, matteo and matthew, please" he pleads as i just sob
"I will, i promise" i say
"You got a novio now huh?" He says
"No" i laugh, tears still in my eyes
"No matter what, i love you baby, please dont give up im so proud of you" he says and i nod
"So this is the last call?" I ask
"Yeah it is, goodbye mercedes" i hear the line breaking
"Bye daddy" i say and hang up the line
"Uhm are you okay?" Robin asks and i immeadiatly hug him, crying
"Woah okay its okay" he comforts, stroking my hair as i just sob into his chest
"Im sorry" i say, wiping my tears
"Its not your fault mercedes, okay?" He reassures and i nod
"We will get out" he says, pulling me into another hug
"Yeah, we will" i nod
I didnt know that the boy witb the bandana was greater comfort than any other person could ever be, maybe thats why i love him so much
