Dan cursed himself whenever he'd grow frustrated with her. It's not like he ever showed it. He didn't have any friends, and he wasn't about to talk to her about it. "She's not a bad person." Became another of his daily reminders.

"She's just stubborn."

"She just knows what she likes."

"It's not her job to deal with all your emotions."

"She's just in a bit of a bad mood."

"She didn't mean to hurt you."

"She still loves you..."

"But do you love her?" He hated how often that came to mind. Of course he did. She was sweet, pretty, intelligent. She could hold a conversation with just about anyone, no matter how little the other person replied. Dan was a living example.  Everyone loved Meg, he was lucky enough to be with her.

She wasn't bad, he just got to see a different side of her. A more, stubborn, harsh, critical version of her.

She tells him she loves him, why would she lie? She wouldn't lie to him.

Dan heaved a sigh when he felt her hands climbing his sides from behind, mentally preparing for what he knew was coming next.
