chapter 28

Nicolas

"Nick baby you can't do that . Our plan is to work together and handle this empire" Addy whines and stomps her foot like a child.

"First of fucking all , my name is Nicolas. I'm not your fucking Nick baby or whatever shit and it was you who decided that we will build my Empire together. I don't fucking need you for anything" I clench my jaw and fist my hands.

"You cannot do that , we are meant to be together " she cries out.

"The fuck not" I say and lean back against my desk.

She was about to start another argument when a sweet voice comes from the other side of the conference room .

"Nico is eve-everything alright?" My precious baby asks .

"Come in,love" I say in a deep voice and moments later she walks inside the room waddling like a little baby penguin.

She shifts her gaze to Addy and waves at her, smiling brightly.

"Hello, you're the girl I-I met a-at the party right? W-We couldn't talk then b-but hello" she finishes. I can make out that's she's anxious but I'm proud of my little baby for trying.

I simply nod at her in encouragement but I frown at Addy's reply.

"Oh wow so it's her , this fucking bitch for whom you're doing all this" she snorts and shifts her gaze to Tara.

"And you one day he'll get bored of you and leave you alone , that's when he'll realise I'm the one for him and he's gonna come running to me . Who are you even a stuttering bitch" she gasps when I grab her arm and turn her around.

"Listen to me fucking goo-" "Nico wait" tara interrupts and walks toward addy.

She smiles at her and pats her shoulder
"Y'know you shouldn't try to bring other women down just because the person you like rejected you. How is it my fault that Nico doesn't like you . I never said you're ugly because you are into Nico. I still feel you're beautiful it's just umm.... Your heart isn't very pretty. And yes , I stutter so what? Does it bother the way I speak? Yes , does it bother the way I think? No. I can very well arrange my thoughts and justify right and wrong. But you? I don't think so." She breathes out and continues I smile at her level of confidence.

"Also you have no right to tell me what I am? If I'm the you know um... The 'b' word then maybe you're the desperate 'b' word. If he doesn't want you then learn to accept it. Not everyone can like you. It doesn't mean you have to hate on others. Ya so that's all...Nico" she looks at me with pleading eyes. She mouths "was I a Lil too rude?"

I shake my head and chuckle lightly. She exhales the breath she was holding .

Addy seems to shocked to process all of this. She nods at me and then at nitara .
"Um.. I'll c-come so-some o-other time to discuss b-buisness. " She picks her stuff up and walks out.

"Wait , um... I-I wasn't t-trying to be mean" she fiddles with her finger and addy nods at her , smiling weakly.

"Nico are you sure I wasn't mean?" She asks just for reassuring.
