"Jesus, I'm stuck handling this stupid thing when there's chocolate at home.." Y/n took the pick out of the summoned grenade and stuffed it into the curses mouth.
"Hey Y/n, you almost done?" Yuji called out but she was too busy fighting the curse's mouth to stay close.
"In a sec, hide behind something strong!" She grabbed a stick, stabbing it into threw its mouth before grabbing Yuji and hiding behind a boulder. A loud boom echoed through the forest with gross curse goo covering the trees.
"You're so cool Y/n, I wish they sent me out on more missions.."
"No, you don't, you'll get stuck doing Gojo's work that he puts off." She looked for a finger but there was nothing.
"Waste of time, I hate when I get nothing from a boring curse." Yuji just put his arm around his sulking friend before walking to the bus station.

"I know what will cheer you up!"
"You sure, Yu? I'm pretty angry about this horrible night." They hopped onto the bus sitting next to each other, she laid her head on his shoulder.
"Let's spend the rest of the day together, no teammates and no one else but us."
"My my, you just read my mind."
"We pretend to go on a special mission together, they'd never question it." Y/n played with his hoodie string, she nodded in agreement with his plan since she missed their old hangouts where they'd spend hours in her room just doing random things to pass the time before they'd wake up for school.
"Ready by 1?"
"Make it 2, I take naps when I get ready." He quietly laughed into his hand before kissing her head.
"Then our plans are set."

Megumi and Nobara were lying on the stairs both complaining about the unbearable heat while their teacher was busy tormenting ljichi.
"Perfect time to go.." They were both in uniform as they snuck around their obstacles. They managed to get out the gate but they didn't let their guard down until they were away far enough.
"Alright, let's go to Shibuya they opened a new arcade and I want to go so bad!"
"Sure, it'll be on me." Y/n looked at him surprised since he was usually low on funds.
"I like this generous Yuji, let's go before we miss the train." They ran to the station before making it just in time to catch the last train before they'd have to wait an hour for the next one.
"I almost forgot it's valentine's day." She looked at the hearts decorating the ad signs near the exit.
"What a c-coincidence!" Yuji rubbed the back of his neck but Y/n just gave him a weird look.
"The only thing I like about this holiday is the discounted chocolates that come after and maybe the dessert specials." They got off the train and headed to Y/n's recommended arcade, there was a mix of crane and multi-player games for couples so it was mostly packed.

"You want to try the scam machine?"
"I think this might be the place that helps you with the difficulty if you get stuck." Yuji held her hand so they wouldn't get separated but Y/n's eyes were glued to the crane machine with her favorite anime character figure.
"Yuji look!" She tugged him to the spot as she kept poking at the glass.
"I'll get it in no time!" Yuji was secretly incredibly nervous as he had incredibly bad luck when it came to crane games.
"Watch a master at work." They both focused on the claws pushing the box but after 4 failed attempts, the employees felt bad for the duo that they just gave them the figure.

"That felt so humiliating.." Yuji stuffed his face with popcorn while Y/n gently rubbed his back to make him feel better.
"Don't worry, I know just the game that will make you feel like a champ!" She pulled him to the basketball game, which had 3 different difficulties.
"I'm not sure, I'm pretty rusty since the last time I've played a sport." Y/n just shook her head as she put coins into the machine and shoved the ball into his hands. He quickly started to shoot his shot as the timer started to quickly go down.
"You can do it, Yuji!" She cheered him enough to get a high score which brought back his confidence.
"Ha, we have enough tickets for a small plushie and two candies."
"I want the sloth, they remind me of myself."
"Is that a good thing..?" Yuji walked up to the counter and ordered the plushie but he waited to Y/n to choose the candies.
"Hm, we have enough points for these." She pulled out glow-in-the-dark spider rings.
"If that's your final choice." Yuji shrugged it off as a strange choice but got the rings, they walked out of the arcade satisfied with their winnings.
"Yuji, hold out your hand."
"If you hand me dirt, I'll call your mom." He held out his hands and felt Y/n put on the spider ring on his ring finger.
"Let's promise each other to spend valentine's day together forever." She placed the spider ring on her finger while Yuji was too distracted by his burning face.
'This feels too much like a proposal..' He sighed as she lit up her cigarette, he just hugged her as the nicotine smell seeped into his hoodie.
"Yeah, maybe one day we can get better rings."
