Mia went about her daily routine, but thoughts of David and the last letter he wrote her constantly lingered in her mind. She had been hesitant to read the letter, unsure if she was ready to face the emotions that would come with it. But as the days went by, she knew she couldn't put it off any longer.

Mia sat at her kitchen table, the unopened letter lying in front of her. She took a deep breath, her hand shaking as she opened it. She began to read, tears streaming down her face.

Mia: "Oh, David. Why did you have to leave me? I miss you so much. Reading this letter is like hearing your voice again like you're still here with me. But you're not, and that's the hardest part. I can feel your presence all around me, but I can't touch or talk to you. I wish I could tell you how much I love you and how much you mean to me."

David's letter was full of love and regrets, and Mia felt every word piercing her heart. She couldn't help but cry as she read about David's hopes and dreams for their future together, and his sadness for the things that went wrong.

David's Letter: "Mia, my love. I don't even know where to begin. I miss you so much it hurts. I wish we could have made it work, but I understand why we couldn't. I'm sorry for the things I said and did that hurt you. I wish I could go back and change them, but I can't. All I can do now is tell you how much I love you, and how much you've meant to me. You've always been my rock, my support, my everything. I want you to be happy, Mia. I want you to find love again, and not be alone like me. Life is too short to waste it on regrets and what-ifs. Please, Mia, find it in your heart to let go of the past and move on. I love you, always and forever."

Mia wiped away her tears, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. David's words had struck a chord with her, and she knew that he was right. She needed to let go of the past and move on. It wouldn't be easy, but she had to try.

Mia looked up at the sky, feeling a sense of closure. She knew that David would always be a part of her, but she also knew that she had a life to live. She took a deep breath, feeling a sense of hope for the future.

Mia: "Thank you, David. I love you too. I promise I'll try to move on, and I'll always cherish our memories. Rest in peace, my love."

With that, Mia closed the letter and put it away, ready to start a new chapter in her life.

"Life is too short to waste it on regrets and what-ifs. Please, Mia, find it in your heart to let go of the past and move on."
