The night arrived without notice, so Taehyun decided to leave. I thanked him for coming over since he intently listened to me without a second thought. He's a great friend. Yet, after he left, I didn't return to my mother's house; there was where I usually spent the night and part of the day. – The situation that occurred earlier this day made me reflect on my current life and my family's situation. It is wrong, wicked, and absurd how my parents treated each other and how their drama has affected my friends and me. Hence, I believe the best thing I can do is to set boundaries and keep my people away from other issues involving my life.
As for now, I'm inside my house, enjoying my loneliness as I walk around. Times like this make me remember Soobin's face and my conversation with my mother. Both thoughts are fighting inside my head, bringing me more questions than answers. – After today, nothing will be the same. My relationship with my family will change, and so as my connection with Soobin. It scares me, but I want to show Soobin that I'll do anything to see him better and happier.
While continuously reflecting on this day, I suddenly heard my phone ringing. I frowned since it was past midnight, yet, I still grabbed the phone and looked at the screen. It shocked me to see the contact; nevertheless, I answered and didn't wait any longer.
—Soobin? – I answered.
—Yeonjun, did I wake you up? – Soobin asked, sounding weary.
—No, no, you didn't. But why are you awake? – I asked, confused.
—I couldn't sleep, so I called you because I didn't know who to call – Soobin admitted.
—What about Beomgyu? He's very close to you – I questioned while walking to my bed, then sitting down on the rim.
—Well. I believe telling Beomgyu why I can't sleep isn't an option. He would've beat me up if I spoke about my insomnia. Not literately, but he would be mad for sure – Soobin pointed out, causing me to chuckle slightly.
—That sounds like him – I mentioned before resting on my bed.
—And why can't you sleep? – I asked, intrigued.
—I've been thinking about today. Earlier, I needed to thank you for everything you did for me, but I couldn't do it – Soobin explained, concerned.
—Why's that? – I said, confused.
—I thought you would pressure me to answer your confession. But after I received the text, I realized I was wrong – Soobin pointed out, making my heart flutter and my mind feels at ease.
