i open my eyes and rub them and then proceed to grab my phone to check the time,
fuck my phones at 10 percent
6:47 in the morning? it feels so much later than that. i turn around to check if anyone else is awake.
I'm the only one.
i notice chris asleep next to me, gosh he looks so peaceful, even after all the noise from the storm. i decide to get up slowly and carefully making sure not to wake anyone. i head to the kitchen and look around for anything that i could use to make some food.
its dark as the sun has not risen yet and the light switches are out. i search through cabinets and drawers until i find pancake mix, i jump, startled as i feel a touch on my shoulder. i turn around to see chris. he has tired eyes and his voice is all grogily when he spoke,
"woah, I'm sorry"
"oh no I'm sorry, i wanst expecting anyone up" i respond quietly "i wasnt expecting to be up" he adds jokingly with a laugh. i smile,
"whatcha making?" he asks leaning back on the counter, "i was going to try and make pancakes but i dont think I'm that much of a cook" i laugh
"here I'll help you" "you don't have to-" "i insist" he says. I give a small smile and let him help me. when we finish the pancakes everyone is about up. matt helps set the table while nick and i grab the plates.
as we sit down charlie says, "this was a crazy night but I'm honestly so glad it worked out how it did you know?" she says taking a bite of her syrup covered pancakes. "me too" nick agrees. i smile to chris across the table.
after breakfast everyone helps clean up, washing dishes, etc. it was honestly really nice. when the boys leave i give them all a warm hug and thank them. after they leave, i head out giving charlie a big hug.
"how was it?" she asks as we release from the hug. "honestly, it was the most fun I've had in a long time" i smile.
"hey, you and chris seem to have hit it off really well" she says, "i guess" she scoffs and rolls her eyes playfully and i wave bye. "ill facetime you later!" i yell.
