Damon had taken a spot beside Jeremy, and they were playing together. I was playing with them, but since Jeremy is a sore loser he told me Damon wanted to give it a shot. I took it as 'Damon doesn't know how to play like you, so I can actually beat him'. Now that Damon got the hang of it, he was kicking Jeremy's ass, and I was enjoying every minute of it.

I looked to my right ad both Elena and Jenna were watching me with grins on their faces. "What?"

"You're over Jeremy, aren't you?" they both asked.

I chewed on the end of a straw watching them cautiously. "Uh-hu." They glance at Jeremy and shrug. "Why do you ask?"

"Well, it seems you can't take your eyes of that man—"

"Who? Damon!?" I yelled in a hushed voice. How did this conversation take a turn to talking about Demon Salvatore? It was too late, I'm sure he heard. "Can you not say that? He's an ass." My eyes flicked over to see if he had heard us, but his head shook in disappointment as he lost in second place to Jeremy.

The bell rings and Damon gets up after pausing the game. Elena is quick to follow them and I too. Jeremy yells in protest, since he was just barely catching up. Swinging the door open, Elena told us to talk outside. Apparently, Stefan wasn't able to get the journal from the teacher, someone had taken it and Mr. Saltzman didn't realize it.

"Who took it?" Damon asked his brother as we walked towards the porch. "You know what, it's that teacher. There's something really off about him."

I nodded, thinking the same. "Yeah, Mr. Saltzman gives me a vibe, and not the good kind. Besides whom else could have possibly known it was there?" Stefan turned his head towards the window and watched Jeremy play on the console like his life depends on it. I'm quick to walk back inside, but Damon uses his speed to cut in front of me. I shoved his shoulder away and he laughed. It only lasted a second, because as soon as his ass hit the couch armrest he was interrogating baby Gilbert.

"So, I heard you found a really cool journal from back in the day. Who else did you show it to?" Damon was sending lasers to Jeremy's head. "Don't ask questions, just spill."

"Jer, is there anyone else, other than Mr. Saltzman, that you told about the journal?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

"Mm, just that girl, Anna." Damon jumped in interest at that.

Damon quirked a brow. "The hot, weird one?" Jeremy nodded enthusiastically.

My eyes went from Damon to Jeremy then back again to Damon confused, and somehow irritated. "What hot, weird girl? Who is this chick?" I looked behind me and both Elena and Stefan were staring at me with brows raised and hands up in surrender.

"You don't know." Damon waved me off. "And neither do I, but I want to find out."

Jeremy gives us a shrug. "She wants me to meet her at the grill tonight."

Damon gets up with his keys in hand and I snatch them. "Perfect, I'm driving. Hurry up." I don't wait for them before I get into Damon's car and start the ignition. Damon was barely shutting his door when I drove off. If Damon had been the one to drive, we would have taken so long to get here, whereas I only took five minutes. It helped that my blood was pumping, and my feet were stomping out of the car and into the grill. Damon and Jeremy followed with their mouths shut, just how I liked it. While Jeremy waited for Anna, I sat at the bar with Damon watching him, with an order of fries and a smoothie to help me relax.
