Viaje
Naghanap ng dalawit,
Daanan ay malupit,
Tila ako'y dalakit,
Danas ang panlalait,
Nagpahinga ng saglit,
Anino'y magparikit,
Animo'y kaniyang bitbit,
Kumalma at umawit,
Sarili'y inuukit,
Kabutihan ang sambit,
Isipa'y di mapalit,
Ako ay naaakit,
Dakong dama'y mainit,
Bukas na ay malapit,
May nais na makamit,
Tagumpay ay masungkit
Authors Note:
This poem is inspired with the scene when the Philippines was conquered by the spaniards a long time ago. Yet, despite the circumstances Filipino's went through, they remained bold and courageous until they attained their desire. There are a lot of people like that—who strives for triumph, and I dedicate this poem to those people. If you're one of them, then, this is for you.
