Central harbor of Hamburg
Under a pavilion on the docks of the harbor You, Ben and Laura await the cargo ship that is to take you to the island. The three of you sit quietly listening to the water and smelling the sea salt that is being lightly blown by the early morning breeze.
"How was my hand to hand training yesterday Fin" Ben then asked out of the blue
(You and Ben did hand to hand combat training and other exercises after your wild and thrilling shopping yesterday)
"uhmmm... It was ok I guess" you reply
"what's that suppose to mean" Laura softly asked from the other side of the bench
"well I am certainly a lot better at protecting my self now, and I learned that Ben is one tuff nut" you say smirking
You then look over at Ben who has a beaming smile
Laura notices it and just sighs audibly
"So what are you guys going to be doing while I am out on the island" you ask
"Well as you kn-" Laura cuts Ben off
"I still am the manager of the warehouse and so everything will be the norm for me but anything you need I can help you with" Laura says while looking out at the harbor
"And as I was saying, as you know I am your second in command and so I will have my own office at the HQ and will have a direct phone line with you" Ben says looking a bit exited for his own promotion
"Well that's good," you say "I hope you don't bother Laura to much though" you say now finding yourself looking out at the harbor which is now slightly illuminated by the sun coming overtop the buildings and ships.
"Heyyyyy" Ben protests
"Yea, I have enough to deal with already" Laura replies glancing back at the two of you
You then here some men calling for the commander which doesn't register with you so Laura has to kick your foot for you to realize they are calling for you
"ow... ok, ok, I'm going" you say swiftly getting up and making your way towards the cargo ship where the voices were projecting from.
You walk up to the giant cargo ship that was resting in the harbor and see a few sailors on the deck waving you down calling for you to climb up the ramp. You have never seen them before but it was easy to see that you were the Iron Blood commander just by your appearance as you had on a commander's rank dark blue navy uniform complete with a new dark officers hat. Along with your new uniform you had a few medals and ribbons pinned to your chest from your previous combat and performances during and before the great Siren war
You slowly make your way up the ramp of the ship one wobbly step at a time.
"God I hate boats" you mutter to yourself as you force your body onto the deck of the ship
The sailors ask to take you to a cabin where you can relax before you get to the island but you decline because you don't want to be inside the ship. Of course you didn't tell them that but instead you said that you simply wanted to admire the early morning ocean even though it was a lot of mist and fog
After a short while the ship with all of your commodities and other supplies for the island slowly makes its way out of the harbor
Besides the calm wind and seagulls the only other sound that can be heard above everything was the steady rumble of the engine
You then make your way to the front of the ship where you lean up against the natural curve of the front of the ship.
You can see Ben and Laura near the end of the docks ahead of you waving to you. You can't hold back a smile and you simply wave back
