Vampire Queen

56 22 33

She left the cloying sweet taste of pain in every soul she touched.

It clawed and stung like the fangs sank deeply in vein.

Feral like the flame of a wild fire that can't be contained.

Not a glimpse of the docile, sweet, girl so pleasant and tame.

Before the immortal curse came,to settle under her ashen skin.

An empty shell from within.

Created to hunt and kill.

Destruction and death a thrill.

Ravishing hunger, no amount of blood can fill.

So eloquently she dances through darkness like a raven ever vigil in flight.

Seeking prey in the shadowed night.

Gift or curse?

Forever to roam the earth with an unquenchable thirst.

Hunger to kill just for the thrill.

Never to feel the heat from a mid summer day.

To lay underground locked away from the sun to rise only with the stars.

Beauty that never fades or flaws.

Razor sharp fangs and claws.

Never have loves embrace or feel its taste.

Nor the excitement of a racing heart.

A soul blackened, turned, a creature of the night.

Mistress of death and fright.

The vampire queen, sentenced to eternal misery it would seem.
