Pandora Reef

Metkayina Clan

Two months later

"You all know your assignments must be completed before eclipse. Dismissed," The Metkayina na'vi dispersed, going to their set jobs. Li'teya breathed a sigh of relief, placing her hands on her hips. It had been two months since the battle against the sky people. Tonowari had finished teaching Li'teya the ways of the Metkayina Olo'eyktan. She was responsible for cleaning up the village and clearing the sea of debris from the wreckage. Since the battle, something has changed in Li'teya; maybe it was the fact she died, but the battle made her grow up. She knew her childhood was over; her 18th cycle was fast approaching. Li'teya woke up every morning before sunrise to prepare breakfast for the clan; she completed her duties and then prepared dinner. Some nights she even took charge of the night watch, meaning she barely got any sleep, but she still carried on like she did every day. Lo'ak had seen the change in his love but kept to himself.

Li'teya stood on the beach staring at the bright blue water void of the debris before two arms snaked around her waist. "Have I ever told you how beautiful you look when you're in charge?"

Teya melted into his touch. "I don't think so. You might have to remind me", she mused, tilting her head back onto their chest.

Lo'ak smirked, planting small kisses down her neck. Teya groaned. "Lo'ak, not here. I'm on duty."

"Tonight, meet at our spot. I need to talk to you," he mumbled.

"Is everything alright?" she asked, turning to face him.

Lo'ak nodded. "I can't tell you in public; just find me later," he stuttered, walking off.

Li'teya stared at Lo'ak's back as he walked away. What he could want to talk about that he couldn't say now. Oh, my Eywa, he's going to break up with me.

"Tsireya!" she shouted, running towards her best friend mauri. Teya opened the flap "Reya, I really need to talk ..."

Teya stopped speaking as she stared at her best friend, who was on top of her brother. "Oh my fucking god", Teya cried, covering her eyes. Tsireya squeaked as Tsu'tey pushed her onto the floor.

"Have you ever heard of knocking Teya" Tsu'tey scolded, covering himself up.

"I didn't think you'd be doing this in the middle of the fucking day. Ugh, I think I'm going to be sick" Teya made fake gagging noises holding her chest.

Tsireya hit Tsu'tey on the chest, making her way over to Li'teya. "What's wrong, honey?".

Teya uncovered her eyes, looking at her best friend's concerned eyes. "Um, it doesn't matter; I can come back later."

"No, don't be silly; you're more important. Come sit" Reya dragged Li'teya into the hut onto the cushioned floor.

Tsu'tey flashed the girls an excuse me, what the fuck look.

"Excuse me, what the fuck?"

"shhh, brother. Ok, so I was doing my jobs on the beach, and Lo'ak came up to me and said he wanted to talk to me," she explained.

"Im just gonna go", Tsu'tey started, but Tsireya pulled him back to the floor.

"Shhh. Did he say what he wanted to talk about?"

Teya shook her head. "No, he only said he couldn't talk about it in public."

"Oh, honey, I'm sorry", Tsireya consoled, holding her best friend's hand.

Tsu'tey looked between the two girls, confused. "I'm sorry, I'm really lost here. What's wrong with what he said?"

"You are so clueless, sweetheart", Tsireya cooed, nodding to Li'teya
