Chapter 8: The Blazing Encounter After the Calamity

3rd Person PoV

Monday - May 13 / Streets near the Kyoto Tower  / Dawn

Light hadn't arrived to Kyoto even if a few minutes had passed ever since the chaos that unleashed thanks to Berserker's madness, every Master and Servant left to recover after such a battlefront took place...except for the Masters of Rider and Lancer and their Servants, even if the battle had ended for the night those two weren't going home anytime soon, Takashi Homura and Nanashi friends since long ago that now faced each other in the field, both stood with their glares upon the other knowing what came next

Nanashi: "...we don't have to do this Takashi, let me go get Lancer and we'll be out of your way" Said the Master of Lancer knowing of his best friend's strength, she was not a martial arts teacher for nothing, and even now he had trouble landing a hit on her

Takashi: "No Nanashi, sorry we have to do this, but such is the Grail War's rules" Takashi on the other hand raised her fists getting ready to fight, putting on the glove over the hand with the Command Spells

Nanashi looked over to the tower, concerned for Lancer after seeing Rider's strength in the battlefield for himself, he had seen when Kazuki stole a flame to use for his spear and could tell it was no easy job

Nanashi: "We can make an alliance Takashi, there's no need to-!"

Takashi: "Listen...i know me and Rider can win this war without a problem, she and i are more similar than we appear to be and we each have a blazing independent strength...i just need to get rid of you and Lancer to be one step closer to victory, that's all it takes" She was determined to win, that fiery determination in her eyes that she always wore and no sign of remorse on her eyes, she wasn't gonna hold back

Nanashi: I can't convince her...maybe now i can stand up to her, i just need to hang on until grandpa gets his job done with

Meanwhile over the Kyoto Tower, the two Servants fought each other to death on a close quarters face off, Lancer gracefully avoided all the punches and kicks thrown by Rider while she deflected and blocked the strikes of his spear, an evenly matched battle between both Servants that didn't dare get a step back thanks to the long fall that awaited them

Lancer: "Ahaha! You're really fun, this is actually quite entertaining!" Said the Lancer with a laidback attitude as always, just seeming to have the time of his life

Rider: "Is this a joke to you? It's not so funny for me" A last punch with her fist in fire that bursted upon contact made Lancer finally back away, landing right on the edge of the building where he balanced his body perfectly as to not fall

Lancer: "If this was a joke i'd be laughing harder, this is just a fun battle! I should be getting out before the kid gets in trouble though"

Rider: "Escaping wont be so easy, Lancer..." An aura of fire surrounded her hand, throwing the same blaze towards Kazuki who elegantly jumped over it and spun on the air, letting the blast land on the edge and blow a curtain of smoke in place

Kazuki landed again almost at the other edge, spinning his spear around before pointing it at Rider moving the hair off his eyes to see her better

Lancer: "I never said i'd run away now, it'd be almost hilarious to run away when i've got this battle in the bag!" His confidence was overflowing, even if he saw her strength by himself he was really confident his speed and skill could outmatch her's

Rider: "That's your word, i'd love to see it in a moment..." A feather-like sword manifested in her hands, looking like a regular sword that had a red and orange feather with peculiar patters attached as a blade, the exotic choice for the blade's looks dragged Kazuki's attention making him have a closer look at it
