Chapter 22 - The Braille Mini Manor

I moved my things out of Sam's home and into his Mum's house. Ms Braille's house was beautiful. It was obviously smaller than the Blunt Manor but it was huge in its right. It had about 5 rooms , a cinema, a very huge pool and an aquarium. I'll call it the Braille Mini Manor

After the show in Paris I stayed away from Sam. He tried to beg but I didn't listen. I couldn't let him manipulate me anymore .

I was hurting too much and I knew I didn't deserve how he treated me.

I made sure to not let him know where I was moving to.

He would obviously find out later but I just needed the immediate space from him.

He texted and called me for 2 weeks nonstop but I didn't pay him any mind.

I got calls from all of my friends because he went to their homes to check if I was there.

I'm sure he thought he would see me at the office but I got 2 weeks off work.
Ms Braille let me work from home as long as I promised to be okay after 2 weeks.

It was Monday and I was going back to work.
As I stepped into the office I got side eye stares but I didn't care .

"Princess!!!" Care squealed.

"I have missed you too much"  I said hugging her and giving her a kiss on her cheek.

"I have missed you more . You look great" she said.

"Have you lost weight?" She asked.

"I have been so busy with work at home that I forget to eat sometimes" I lied.

She took a deep sigh and said "It's great to have you back love".

During lunch I went into Ms Braille's office to speak to her about work.
On my way out I bumped into Sam. He sighed a sigh of relief and just walked past me.

The day ended fast and Sam was nowhere in sight. He didn't try to talk to me or anything .

I felt quite hurt by his nonchalance .
"But you broke up with him" my subconscious said.

I'm in love with him and I think it's okay to feel hurt to not be wanted by him even though he cheated, Right?

He drives me so fucking crazy. I shouldn't even care  about him.

I got in the car and drove off to Ms Braille's house.

I need to learn how to get used to being happy without him.

Tuesday was exactly like Monday except I didn't see Sam at all.

There was quite a pile of work to do on Wednesday . I was supposed to schedule a meeting with Beyoncé and Blue. Actually it was Massimo's job and I was only assisting but I was too excited.

When I got back to Ms Braille's I cooked dinner .

"Dominic is coming into town this weekend" she said excitedly.
"Aww that's nice. I know you can't wait to see him" I said.

"Yeahhhhhhh. Hey can you make a list of places we could go during his stay in Seattle?" She asked.

"Sure . I've been to quite a number of good spots" I said .

There was a knock and I got up to go answer it.

My heart must have skipped 20 beats when I saw who it was .
"What are you doing here" I asked.
"This is my Mum's house, what do you mean?" Sam said walking past me with a travel bag into the living room.

Well he's right . It's his Mum's house but why does he have a bag,

"Sam?" Ms Braille said.

"Hi mum" he said.

"What are you doing here with all that luggage" she asked.

"Oh this? I'm moving in . There was a fire outbreak at my house " he said.

"Which house" I asked .

"All 6 of them" he said with a smirk.
No way!
There's no possible way there's a fire outbreak at all of his houses and he's this calm.

"Are you lying to me?" Ms Braille asked raising an eyebrow.

He brought out his phone and called Rogers on video call.

"How's the fire at my penthouse" he asked
"First responders are here and they are trying to put the fire out" Rogers said .

"Show me?" He said  then he turned his phone towards us as Rogers showed the apartment. It was a wreck.

Well he could have just gone to a hotel instead.

"It's gonna cost a lot to fix that's why I'm not going to stay at a hotel, I'm trying to minimize cost as much as possible" he said sitting at the dinner table as if he had read my thoughts.

He had a smug look on his face and I just knew that he did it.  He set his houses on fire on purpose.

"This is delicious" he said with the biggest smile looking straight at me.

He knew I cooked it.
