school was a bore as the other days were, i wanted to see if sophie and jack would want to see their best friend again.

i said goodbye to cameron who's back from her 'camp'. i know what it stands for, conversation camp. i'm not dumb, i noticed the change in her face when mike asked where she went the first time.

i get out of school, which i wished was forever. i walk to my bike, i watch will get into his mom's car or jonathan's? i don't know.

after what happened last year, i couldn't imagine what he felt being in the upside down. i was so scared for him, i felt i wouldn't be here without him.

he was my first ever friend, though i'm like the rich kids, i certainly hid my richness from the party, except for cameron who lives five doors down and the other two.

cameron was mean at first but she loosened up and became our fighter. i'm our outsider, we came up with the name because i loved the book.

when the movie came out last year, i was so excited. i'm probably the only person other than will that actually liked the book.

i got on my bike, i'm was riding behind this blue camero. 'wango tango' is playing loudly from the inside.

i saw a mullet and red hair, max, was it? cameron couldn't stop talking about her at school. i chuckled at the thought.

i suddenly saw three figures in the distance. when i saw better picture of them, i saw them wearing fake proton packs. shit.

i started to bang the back of the camero. "hey, stop! there's people in front of you!" i yelled loudly.

they didn't seem to hear me. "hey! sir! can you slow down?!" they went even faster.

they were getting closer. "fucking hell! can you slow the hell down, dude?!"

the car swerved right before hitting my friends, i saw dustin on the leafy ground. i pressed on my brakes firmly that i almost fall.

"was that. . .?"

"mad max." lucas panted.

"holy shit, are you guys alright?" i asked, letting my bike fall.

mike patted my shoulder. "we're good, thanks though,"

i grabbed my bike. "do you want me to company you guys home?"

"who are we, will? no, thank you." mike joked.

"haha, very funny. anyway, bye." i waved goodbye.

i was surprised know that sophie and jack want nothing to do wih cameron, they were best friends. sophie was so done with both of them. if i'm being honest, i am as well.

i'm on my way to cameron's house. i knocked on the door, seeing her in full on ghosty mode made me hunch back laughing.

"what? do you not like it?" she pouted.
