Still Third Person POV
"No, actually things have been going great." Tori said though the phone.
"That is great baby. I am glad you and my mom have found something to bond over." Kendall said. Tori sighed and rubbed her small baby bump.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Tori asked.
"Sure, you can ask me anything." Kendall said.
"Well, me and your mom were talking. You will be home in a week and a half and we wanted to surprise you with something we did together."
"That sounds great baby. Do you have anything in mind?" Kendall asked.
"Yes, actually. We do. You know that empty room next to yours?" Tori asked.
"You mean the room I use as a guest room when friends stay over?" Kendall asked.
"Yes, that one. Well we want to redo into something... You will never forget." Tori said, choosing her words wisely.
"You and my mom working together on something for me?" Kendall asked to clarify.
"Yes." Tori said. She nervously chewed on her bottom lip, making it slightly bleed.
"That sounds amazing. I can't wait to see it, but for now I have to go help set up. I will talk to you tonight. I love you." Kendall said and he was gone. Tori sighed and walked out of Kendall's bedroom with his dog Sissy right behind her. Mama Schmidt was waiting in the kitchen.
"He said yes." Tori said. Mama Schmidt smiled as Tori sat down.
"That is amazing. We only have a week so we should get started right away." Mama Schmidt said.
"What are we going to do first?" Tori asked
"First you are going to eat something before we go." Mama Schmidt said. Tori got up without argument and grabbed a snack. "I think we should get the paint for the walls first. I can have Papa Schmidt and Kendall's brothers paint the walls while we shop for furniture and stuff the baby will need."
"I don't even know the gender yet. I am only three months along." Tori said. After all the pregnancy test were positive Mama Schmidt brought Tori to the OBGYN and they gave Tori a sonogram to see how far along she was. It turned out Tori was a month and one week along. Two months later, Tori is now a little over three months and Tori and Mama Schmidt figured out a perfect way to tell Kendall when he comes home.
Building a nursery.
"I was thinking that we either paint the walls a yellow color or a light green color." Mama Schmidt suggested.
"Kendall likes green." Tori pointed out as she ate.
"Green it is." Mama Schmidt said. "We will buy the paint and the things the boys would need. And we will have them meet us there so they can take it right there and we can just go right to Baby R Us."
"Baby R Us?" Tori asked.
"It is like Toys R Us, but full of nothing but baby stuff. It will have everything we need." Mama Schmidt said. Tori just nodded. Soon they were leaving Kendall's house and Mama Schmidt was calling Papa Schmidt to have him and her other sons to meet them there.
They got to the store and Tori saw that Papa Schmidt, Kevin, and Kenneth were already there waiting. Mama Schmidt explained to them about the surprised and what she needed them to do. They all agreed to remove everything from the room and paint the walls. They all walked in together and Tori watched as Kenneth grabbed a cart and Kevin jumped into it.
"Boy, get out of that cart you are too big for that." Mama Schmidt said.
"But that means I would have to walk around the store." Kevin said.
"You'll live got out of the cart." Mama Schmidt said. Kevin sighed and climbed back out. He pouted as they walked over to the paint.
"We will get the supplies to paint the room while you two pick out the paint." Papa Schmidt said. "Kenneth stay with your mother and Tori. I don't want either to be lifting heavy paint." Papa Schmidt said. Kenneth nodded at Papa Schmidt and they went their separate ways. As they walked Tori got a call from Kendall.
"Hello." Tori said as soon as his name came up on her screen.
"Hey you." Kendall said. She smiled. "How is my girl doing?"
"Fine since we got off the phone not even an hour ago." Tori said.
"I know, but we have a free day tomorrow and Dustin wants to go find a bar after the show so I wanted to talk now in case I don't get a chance to after the show." Kendall said.
"Oh okay." Tori said.
"So have you and my mom started that room yet?" Kendall asked.
"Yes we have. We are going to pick the paint for the walls right now." Tori said.
"Oh what color are you getting?" Kendall asked.
"Um... the color..." Tori said, looking at Mama Schmidt. Mama Schmidt nodded at her. "Is gonna be green. Light green." Tori said.
"Oh I love green!" Kendall said.
"Yeah, we know." Tori said.
"So, what kind of room are you guys doing?" Kendall asked.
"Oh no. I am not telling you." Tori said.
"Why not?" Kendall asked.
"It's a surprise." Tori said.
"Yeah, I know but I was hoping as your boyfriend and the owner of the house you would tell me." Kendall said.
"Sorry babe, I can't tell you." Tori said. Mama Schmidt held ot her hand to Tori and Tori handed her the phone.
"Kendall Francis Schmidt, no one is telling you what is being done with the room. You will find out when you get home not any time sooner." Mama Schmidt said.
"Yes mom." Kendall said. Mama Schmidt handed back the phone to Tori.
"So, going to a bar." Tori said.
"Yeah, got to keep him out of trouble or Katelyn will kill me." Kendall said. Tori giggled. They said their goodbyes and Tori hung up the phone as they got the paint.
Tori and Mama Schmidt looked at every shade of green they had. Neither of them could decide on just one color. Mama Schmidt wanted one shade and Tori wanted another. They decided to get both and divide the room in half and let Kendall decide which color he wanted. Kenneth got both colors and loaded them into the cart, glaring at Mama Schmidt and Tori when they tried to help. After getting the paint Kenneth, Tori, and Mama Schmidt met Kevin and Papa Schmidt in the supplies.
