"Ugh...my head..."

He opens his eyes, his head aching as he gets up and looks around to see that he was on a beach, the rain poured down heavily on him as his body reminded him of his basic needs, getting up our hero Kala Kayaba (or Kala Lamina) soon runs around looking for anything to eat and as he was he notices someone ahead on a small hill of the island, climbing up after regaining his strength through eating the coconuts and mushrooms he found around the island, it was a man standing over a makeshift grave, walking towards him he was thinking of asking a question, the man sensing him turns back and was quite surprised

"You're awake... I thought you'd be out for a few more days."

"Who are you?" Kala asks the man, he had black hard and looked to be his age

The man looked confused

???:"Are you serious? The two of us barely got out of there alive, and now you have memory loss... I can't believe it."

"We we're being held captive in a remote location, and they performed magic experiments on us. We saw people die every day... but i guess you don't remember that."

"I'm sorry if i don't remember much..."

The man shakes his head and tries to reassure him

???:"It's not your fault... we did the best we could. It's a shame that Tucker couldn't make it, but atleast he's had a proper burial."

"Anyway, we're free now. You still remember how to use magic, right? Since we're magic-users we'll make it far in this world, we just need to meet the right people. You can take one of the rowboats and go wherever you want. I'm going to stay here for a bit...i need to think some things over."

Kala thinks about it before asking him for some insight
"Where should i go though?"

???: "I don't know...you're hungry aren't you? Maybe you should go to Redwake, it's a port to the east of here. They might have food for you, and being there may help you remember some things from your past as well. Maybe we'll see each other again some day, Kala. Until then, farewell, and I wish you good fortune."

Kala nods

"Thanks...i think your name was...Morden right?"

Morden: "Atleast you remember a few things...now go on then, i'll stay here for a bit."

"You don't want to join me?"

Morden: "No..i'll be fine on my own, and so will you"

Kala understood and walked towards the direction he was told to go, finding one of the row boats and pushing it onto shore before sailing off the island...
